Those Three Chapter 28
“YOU RUINED MY FACE! I HAD TO PUT A TON OF MAKEUP ON FROM WHEN YOU PUNCH ME SO BAD BEFORE! TO COVER UP YOUR ABUSE YOU DID TO ME!” Peg yelled.
“I am not sorry for it. You were asking for it. You starting with me trying to tell me that Robert was cheating on me when he wasn’t.” Lacy stood up. “You really need to bring all your little friends to take me down?”
“DON’T MOCK ME!” Peg punched Lacy. Lacy punched Peg in the face back.
“YOU CAN’T TOUCH OUR FRIEND, YOU BITCH!” Trinity yelled. Trinity pulled Lacy’s hair, yanking her away from Peg. Sarah went and punched Lacy next and then Isabelle took a punch at her. Lacy was trying to fight back but eventually fell to the floor as all them were kicking her and stepping on her. Calling her names. Lacy just laid there. She felt like she didn’t want to get up. Couldn’t get up. Her body aching all over from so much pain they were putting her in.
Robert was walking home. “They made me stay after, and I needed to get some food. I can imagine Lacy is worried about me. I couldn’t write her to tell her what had happened. My phone died.” Robert thought to himself as he walked. He sighs. He was getting close to home when he happened to come across Lacy who was lying on the ground. Peg and her friends had left a little before Robert came. He stared down at the ground. Staring at her. Right near a streetlight and he could see her. He couldn’t believe it. She was passed out and had bruises all up and down her body.
“Lacy?” Robert went down on the ground and sat his grocery bag down to hold her over to him. He noticed her lip was busted open and was bleeding. She had a black eye, some blood coming from her nose. She was beaten up bad. Robert felt angry. Angry at himself for letting this happen to her and angry at whoever hurt her. He felt her breathing but couldn’t call for an ambulance or anything since his phone’s battery was dead.
“Shit, how can I get her home?!” Robert wondered. He looked around for somewhere nearby to ask for some help. He didn’t want to leave her outside by herself, but he wasn’t sure what to do. He ended up finding a house nearby that let him call for help.
Alana and Max were still outside her home. He was hugging her. Crying on her. Alana was rubbing his head now as he had it on her breasts.
“Max, what’s the matter? Why are you crying? You didn’t go to school today and I was worried about you. Did something happen?” Alana asks.
“My grandpa! He’s gone!” Max answered. Alana was surprised.
“He…He passed?” She asked.
“Yes!” Max answered.
“I… I am sorry.” Alana wasn’t sure how to cheer up Max. She felt like all she could do was just let him cry on her and to be there for him.
“I should be apologizing to you! I been a jerk lately! Trying to abandon you and our baby! Then ignoring you! I don’t even deserve someone like you! I am a horrible boyfriend! I been so stupid! So fucking stupid lately! And then my grandpa passes last night and didn’t know till today! I feel like my life is changing so fast on me! I was a little stressed when my parents were trying to get me from my grandpa! But this is worse!”
“Max… I am not mad at you.” Alana didn’t want Max to keep crying. “I was hurt from what you did, but… you had your reasons. I am very scared to about having a baby. And… your grandpa… Losing him sounds awful. I know he done some things that probably wasn’t nice, but… I am sorry. I am so sorry.” Alana felt like she was terrible at even talking to Max about his grandpa. She felt like she wanted to cry.
The two just kept holding each other close.
Lacy was confused. She knew she was being hurt by Peg and her friends. Or so she thought. But what she was staring at seemed like her old bedroom. Her bedroom from the short amount of time when she lived with her mother’s ex-boyfriend, Steven. Lacy’s mother, Abbilynn used to have a boyfriend. Lacy, her mom, and her brother James had stayed with Steven for a short amount of time. But Steven had hurt Lacy and got arrested for it in the past.
Lacy was standing there. Staring at the bedroom. “W-What am I doing here?!” Lacy started to panic. She felt scared and was about to leave the bedroom. Before she got out, she saw Steven staring at her. Staring down at her. Lacy let out a scream and backed away.
“Lacy…” Steven said. His voice making Lacy tremble in fear.
“YOU AREN’T HERE! THIS CAN’T BE REAL!” Lacy yelled in fear. She turned away trying to not look at Steven. She felt him touch her.
“Lacy, I am here. And my, have you grown. You look as fucking hot as you did when you were younger.” Steven says. Lacy kept trying to not stare at him but some reason she kept staring in fear. “You know, I think young girls are very attractive. Like you were, just only 14 but had a nice body. And now you still look nice. Aren’t you glad Lacy?” Steven pulled Lacy close to him. Whispering in her ear now. “Aren’t you glad that I am the first man that ever got his penis in you? Aren’t you happy that I took your virginity?” Lacy stared to cry.
“NO!” She pushed him away from her and was trying to run out the door, but he ended up pushing her over.
“You can’t escape.” Steven pinned her to the floor. Steven started kissing on her neck.
“LET ME GO! NO!!” Lacy cried in fear. She was trying to squirm to get him off her. She tried everything but started to feel too weak to move. Her body just felt numb as he took his hands off her wrists and started undressing her. All she was cried in fear. She felt numb but her body still trembled. Lacy just wanted it to end.
“It will all be over soon.” Steven said with a smile. Lacy was trying to get her strength to push him off her, but she couldn’t. She felt like her body just didn’t want to move. As soon as Lacy felt him entering her, she screamed loudly.
Lacy’s eyes shot open as she was sweating staring around. She was confused where she was at. Was she with Steven? She sat up.
“Are you okay?!” Robert was next to her. Lacy stared at him and noticed she looked like she was in the hospital.
“H-How? Why am I?” Lacy was trying to put everything together, what just happened.
“I was on my way home and I saw you passed out. You were beaten up badly. My phone was dead and I had to find someone to help me get an ambulance for you.” Robert tried to explain.
“Oh… That’s why I didn’t get an answer. But… I could’ve sworn your phone rang earlier…” Lacy felt pain in all her body.
“The doctors said that you were going to be okay, they wanted to make sure you woke up first though. You parents should be here soon. I got to tell the doctors you’re awake.”
“Robert, wait!” Lacy wanted to reach her arm out, but she couldn’t move it. She realized it was in a cast and brace.
“What is it?” Robert asks her. “The police might want to talk to you about what happened.”
“No. No cops, tell them to leave.” Lacy didn’t want to involve the police in this. Robert just left. Lacy looked down. “That asshole just leaves when I didn’t get finish talking to him.” Lacy felt like she ached all over.
Lacy began to think about her nightmare that she had. “It was a nightmare. He isn’t here. I am not there.” Lacy thought. She turned her head when a doctor came in and was checking on Lacy.
“I see that you’re awake.” The doctor said. Lacy didn’t say anything. “You seemed to been beaten up pretty badly. Whoever did it gave you a lot of bruises and a black eye. They also seemed to have broke your arm.”
Lacy did notice her arm was in a cast and brace. Peg and all of her friends beaten her up. She wasn’t even sure if she wanted to tell anyone about it.
“Do you know who all hurt you?” The doctor asks. Lacy didn’t answer her. The doctor leaves the room.
“If I tell, Peg will just tell them I beat her up first. I don’t want to make this into a bigger mess.” Lacy thought to herself. Robert came into the room after 3 minutes later holding a 20 ounce soda.
“I couldn’t find the doctor.” He spoke.
“A doctor came in.” Lacy tells Robert.
“Are you sure you don’t want to tell the police about what happened to you?” Robert asks her. “Who beat you up?”
“I don’t want to get the police involved in this. It’s not important.” Lacy looked down. A cop came into the room and Lacy felt nervous. She wasn’t even sure if she couldn’t look them in the eye. She didn’t want to. She tried taking a deep breath to calm herself, but she didn’t feel calm. Ever since the incident that involved Steven in the past, Lacy felt nervous being around cops. She knew they wasn’t going to hurt her, but she began to feel weird around them. Thinking that they all know what happened to her in the past.
“Do you remember who attacked you? Was it someone you know? Or a group of people you may know?” The cop asked Lacy.
“I don’t want to respond.” Lacy thinks to herself. She closed her eyes tight and didn’t stared at the cop.
“Excuse me, do you know anything about who attacked you?” The cop was a woman and she seemed to be getting rather annoyed with Lacy for not responding to her question.
“I don’t know… I don’t know who it was. I got knocked out from behind.” Lacy lied. She knew it was Peg and her friends. She knew. She chose not to tell. Not to tell the truth. She didn’t want to. She wanted this to be over with and just go home with Robert.
“We can always check for cameras nearby that may have it.” The cop said. Lacy stared at her.
“NO!” Lacy panicked.
“What? Do you know who did this to you?” The cop asked. Lacy looked down.
“I don’t want to press charges. I just want to go home. Can’t I go home?” Lacy asked. She didn’t want to be there anymore.
“Lacy, you have to wait for your parents to come.” Robert tells Lacy.
“Did your parents hurt you?” The cop asks. Lacy shook her head.
“NO! They didn’t do anything! I don’t know who did it! I don’t want to press charges! Nothing! Can’t you please leave me alone?!” Lacy snapped at the cop.
“Okay then.” The cop left the room.
“Lacy, who hurt you really?” Robert asks. Lacy stared at him. Lacy took another deep breath.
“Peg and her friends. I don’t really want to get the cops involved, because… Because well, I recently was punching Peg, and she probably got her friends to help beat me up for it.”
“You and Peg should really stop having those violent arguments with each other.” Robert opened up his 20 ounce of soda and took a drink of it.
