In exactly three days, Max’s grandpa Nelson decided to get along again with Max’s parents and they were packing to move all together. Alana was finally ready to give Max her answer. She took all her courage to tell him. She came over when he was packing and he lets her in. She was in the bedroom with him.
“What did you wanted to talk to me about?” Max asked as he went back packing.
“Max, you know why I wanted to speak to you.” Alana said staring at him. She started to blush a little.
“You mean… when I asked you out?” Max asked.
“I need to give you an answer.”
“Look. I am sorry. If you don’t want to date me we can still be friends.” Max said to her. He really didn’t want to be rejected.
“You’re wrong, Max. I didn’t come here to reject you.” Alana said. Max stopped packing and stared at Alana.
“What?” He was confused.
“I came to tell you that I want to. I want to date you. I want to be your girlfriend.” Alana said. Her face started to get more red. Max walks over to her.
“Are you for real?” He asked her. She nods slowly. He hugs her. She hugs him back. “Alana!”
“Max…” Alana felt her heart beat fast.
In those three days, Robert found a girl. A girl that no one even knew. The girl’s name was ‘Stephanie’. She was a girl that was about the same age as Robert. She had failed one grade. She was a girl he had in one class with. No one really spoke to the girl in school. In fact, she was actually a new student that came to the school in the prior month that no one even paid attention to.
“You really gave up Lacy like that?” Ronnie asked his older brother. Ronnie was sitting on the sofa. Robert hung the phone up.
“She’s all yours.” Robert responds.
“Who is Stephanie anyways?” Ronnie asked. “In just three days you started dating her. Do you even know her?”
“We had one date and I liked it. Is that wrong?” Robert walks off. Ronnie was confused about Robert.
“I thought Robert liked Lacy like I did? I guess he doesn’t like her as much as I do.” Ronnie thought to himself. Robert walks out of the house. He was going to meet up with Stephanie.
“Ronnie just doesn’t realize that I am doing it for him. Giving up Lacy. Besides, she might be pregnant by Ronnie.” Robert wasn’t sure what he was feeling. He really didn’t want to give up Lacy, but he felt like he had no choice. He lost. But he really wasn’t sure if Lacy was really pregnant by Ronnie or not. He didn’t even know if she was pregnant by him instead. He was taking Lacy’s word for it.
Robert met Stephanie up in town. “Hey.” She said staring at him. Stephanie was a girl that was the same height as Robert. Over the months, Robert had been growing a little. Getting taller. All the others have been as well. The Stephanie girl had dark black long hair. It was to her hips. She dressed in similar fashion to Lacy as she wore all dark colors, but the clothing style was slightly cuter. She had light blue eyes.
“Where did you want to go?” Robert asked her.
“You were with some other girl before me wasn’t you? You gave her up because you believed her to be pregnant by your brother?” The girl asked. Robert never told Stephanie about it. He was surprised to hear that she knew.
“H-How did you know all that?!” He asked her surprised.
“I know a lot of things.” She replied. Robert was confused about the girl. Was she telling the truth? Or did she hear from someone? Who else knew about the pregnancy? Or why Robert decided to give Lacy up? He didn’t tell anyone. “But you know, I know who is the father of that girl’s baby.”
“How do you know that? What are you, a psychic?” Robert asked.
“Heh. Maybe, I know that you really aren’t the father.” Robert felt weird hearing that. “It really is your brother’s baby. You on the other hand can’t have children.” Stephanie started to walk away. Robert followed her.
“You’re joking right?” Robert asked.
“No. I am not joking. I do not joke. I only see things.” Stephanie replies. “Now let’s get something to eat.”
Max was happy that Alana wanted to date him. “Do you want me to help you pack?” Alana asked Max. He lets her go and she lets him go.
“If you want.” Max answered and went back packing. Alana started to help Max pack. She felt a little nervous being around him, but she was happy. She felt happy that she wanted to date him. Being around him now was making her happier.
Alana folded up a few shirts and puts them into a box. Then she stared at Max. “Why do I feel so different around him now? Is it because we became boyfriend and girlfriend?” Alana blushes staring at Max. Max was taping a box up and then he noticed her staring at him.
“Is there something wrong?” Max asks her.
“No. Not at all.” Alana responds and smiles a little at him. Max blushes at her and then turned his head.
“She really is cute!” Max thought to himself.
Robert was sitting with Stephanie inside of a restaurant. “How do you know things?” Robert asks her. She stopped eating and stared at him.
“It’s a gift. I can see things. I knew that I would be going to this school. I already knew that you would try to date me.” Stephanie replied. Robert wasn’t sure if he believed her or not, but somehow she knew things that he didn’t tell anyone.
“If you know everything, then explain to me if we’re going to stay together?”
“We will not. We will not stay together.” Stephanie answered.
“If you know that, then why date me?” Robert asked.
“Because this is supposed to happen. Just because I see things, doesn’t mean I need to change something that needs to happen. I have to let some things happen. You will realize that you don’t like me in a love kind of way and decide to breakup with me because you still have feelings for Lacy.”
“Don’t even talk like that. I am trying to not think about Lacy. She should be with my brother. She is pregnant by him anyways.” Robert said and looked down. He then took a bite of his food.
“That will not last long.” Stephanie said. Robert was confused on what Stephanie meant.
“Not last long? What won’t?” Robert asked.
“You’ll see.” Stephanie took a sip of her drink. Stephanie was an odd girl, but not that odd to Robert. The only thing he thought was odd about her was that she knew things. He still didn’t understood when she first came to school. He didn’t really remember her being introduced to the class. He knew she was knew because he never noticed her before. But he did started seeing her recently in class. It was very strange to him and he couldn’t explain it all.
Ronnie decided to see Lacy. He went over the house she was in sat down on her bed. “Dad really is working hard. He wants all of us to live together. And that’s what he’s doing. Found a place and getting it all ready for us.” Lacy tells Ronnie.
“Really?” Ronnie asked.
“Yes, I don’t have much to pack since most of my things are already packed. It’s been going so fast for me.” Lacy said and laid down on her bed. Ronnie stares at her.
“Yeah, I think Robert is out trying to date again. Why can’t we just be together?” Ronnie asks and laid beside Lacy.
“Robert is doing that again?” Lacy asked. She felt hurt about it, but tried to hold it in.
“Yeah, he’s trying to date some girl from school. Some Stephanie girl. I really don’t know who she is though.”
“Ronnie, maybe we should just be together. It seems like fate wants us to be.” Lacy got up and then laid herself on Ronnie. He blushes. “Why fight it anymore?” Lacy looks into Ronnie’s eyes as he looks at hers.
“Lacy, I…” They both kissed. Lacy wasn’t sure who to pick, but she felt like she didn’t need to make the choice. She got pregnant and had a gut feeling the baby was Ronnie’s. She kept kissing Ronnie. Ronnie slips his tongue into Lacy’s mouth. She allowed it to enter her mouth. “I can’t tell him… I can’t tell him I am pregnant.” Lacy thinks as she played with Ronnie’s tongue with her own. Ronnie uses one of his hands to grab Lacy’s breast. He squeezed it. He could tell Lacy liked it.
Lacy started to feel some discomfort with her stomach. It started to hurt. She stopped kissing Ronnie. “Is everything okay?” Ronnie asks her.
“I… I don’t know.” She responded.
“What’s the matter?” Ronnie wasn’t sure why she looked upset.
“It’s nothing.” Lacy wasn’t sure if she wanted to tell Ronnie about the pain in her stomach she felt. She wasn’t even sure if that was normal pregnancy pains she was feeling. The whole day she started to feel them. She just tried to ignore it. “Forget about it.” She started kissing Ronnie again and he kissed back. Lacy still felt the pain, but wanted to ignore it.
Robert and Stephanie finished their food and left. They were walking again together in town. “When did you come to the town?” Robert asks Stephanie.
“I came just recently. My mother moved from the other town to get away from all the crimes.” Stephanie tells Robert.
“Does your mother know you can see things?”
“Yes, she does. She told me to embrace my gift not be upset about it. But there’s times where I wished I wasn’t able to see things.”
“How come?” Robert stared at her. She looks down.
“Because, there’s things that I do not want to see. Things I can’t stop or change. Like when my father died.” She replies. She seemed upset.
“I wouldn’t want to be able to see that either. That must be hard.” Robert said and she looked at him. She stopped walking. Robert stopped as well.
“It is hard, but I… I have to accept the fact of everything. Everything happens for a reason.”
