Robert was in his bedroom with Ronnie. “I know what you were doing with Lacy in the bathroom.” Robert said looking at his younger brother. Ronnie laughed.
“Same with you. But we both aren’t dating her. Remember that.” Ronnie put his cigarette out. Robert flashes a devilish smile.
“I know. I am not into dating. Love doesn’t exist.” Robert sat down on the bed.
“Love does exist. You just need to find the right girl.”
“Don’t be stupid. If love does exist, then why are our parents divorcing?” Robert asked. Ronnie didn’t know how to respond. “He was a fool to believe in something that doesn’t exist.”
Jalicia was still crying. Craig didn’t know what to do. He felt bad. Jalicia starts crying on Craig. He felt confused. “Jalicia, aren’t you mad at me?” He asked.
“No! I’m mad at myself! I don’t know what came over me!” Jalicia says. Craig hugs her. She blushes.
“I don’t think wrong of you. Jalicia, you’re still a sweet girl.” Hearing that made Jalicia blush.
“But… You don’t love me and don’t want to date me.” Jalicia says feeling upset.
“No. I don’t love you and I am not interested dating you. But that doesn’t mean you won’t find a guy that would be.”
“I feel so stupid.”
“You aren’t stupid. I am the stupid one. I keep going around doing girls for no reason instead of having a real relationship.” Craig said. Jalicia looks up at him.
“Why are you doing that?” She asks him. He looks down.
“Let’s just say I lost my virginity too young.” Craig responds. Jalicia was confused. “Look, I got to go. I’m sorry if you didn’t want to lose your virginity because of me.” Craig lets go of Jalicia and gets up and was getting dressed.
“Bye.” Jalicia said looking upset. Craig got dressed quickly and left. He walked out the door. It looked as if it was going to start pouring down soon. It was very cloudy. It also was chilly.
“Since that day in the past… I just want to forget what happened to me and erase that DNA off me. Put me in control of my body.” Craig thought to himself. “Is this really wrong what I am doing?” Craig made his way to his grandparents’ home. He saw his grandma as soon as he opened the door.
“Hey Craig, dinner is about ready.” She said with a smile.
“Okay, let me get washed up.” Craig replies and went to the bathroom. After Craig had his shower, he ate dinner and after dinner he went in the living room and picked up the phone. He dialed the number to Max’s home. To his surprise he was home now. “Hey.” Craig says.
“So where did you go?” Max asked Craig.
“I went on an amazing date with a girl from school.” Craig replies.
“You did? Are you dating her?” Max asked. He felt a little jealous.
“Hell no. I don’t exactly get into relationships. Come on, you know me better than that.” Craig laughs.
“I don’t understand why don’t you just get a girlfriend instead of just you know…” Max says and Craig laughed again.
“Love isn’t something that comes to me naturally.”
“I guess that’s true. I think Bryan’s brother, you know Robert? He might like that Lacy girl that stays in their house. That’s so lucky. Isn’t it?” Max asked Craig.
“I guess so. That Lacy girl is kind of pretty.”
“What? Don’t tell me you’re going to try to take her out and then sleep with her. Are you?” Max asked.
“I could.” Craig answered honestly. “But… that would just get Robert mad wouldn’t it?”
“Yes, I don’t even know if Ronnie, Robert’s other brother likes Lacy too. I wouldn’t risk it man.”
“You’re not me.” Craig was already hooked on the idea of wanting to take Lacy out.
“Don’t you feel guilty for doing what you do?”
“You just really don’t know me.” Craig laughs and hangs Max up.
“He really is weird.” Max said and hangs the phone up.
At night, Lacy wasn’t sure what to do. Robert wanted her, but she wasn’t sure how she felt about that. Everyone was asleep. Oh so Lacy though. She left the attic and went into the living room. She turned the lamp on and sits down on the sofa. “My mom don’t even pay attention to what I wear really. Does she even know what I have been doing?” Lacy thought to herself. “I wish my dad were around. I miss him.”
Lacy felt like she wanted to cry because she missed her dad. She held it in. A hand touched her shoulder. She turned around, a little startled. She saw Robert.
“Lacy.” He said and went to sit down next to her.
“I know, you said you wanted me. Didn’t you?” Lacy asked.
“Is that wrong?”
“I shouldn’t be doing this. This stupid…Stupid shit that I do.” Lacy said. Robert just stares at her. She grabs the cigarette pack on the coffee table and pulled a cigarette out. She threw the pack down on the coffee table and picked up the lighter. She lights the cigarette and sits the lighter down. Robert watched Lacy as she started to smoke.
“You’re a smoker?” Robert asked actually surprised. He didn’t knew or notice Lacy was a smoker. He thought she wasn’t one.
“Only when I am irritated or stressed.” Lacy answered. Robert stared at her as she kept smoking the cigarette. “Look, I am not going to be some slut anymore. Okay? I’m done being one.”
“What are you going to do then? Try to date? Good luck. Love doesn’t exist you stupid cunt.” Robert rudely said to Lacy.
“Shut up!” Lacy snaps back at Robert.
“Fuck you!” Robert sat up from the sofa. Robert left the living room angry. Lacy takes a deep breath and went back smoking. Ronnie overheard the fight.
“Robert just really said that to Lacy?” Ronnie went into the living room and sits down by the sofa. “I’m sorry that Robert is acting like that towards you.” Ronnie said trying to make Lacy feel better. He was guessing she was upset.
“He’s just pissed because I won’t screw him. I am sick of being a slut. Do you think I enjoy being one?” Lacy was upset.
“No. I understand. You shouldn’t sleep with someone when you don’t want to. You shouldn’t be forced to.” Ronnie responds. “Robert is the type that just doesn’t believe love exists. He thinks like that because our parents are getting a divorce.”
“My mother and father aren’t together. I don’t think their divorced. Just separated. God, I wished they went back together. This is just crazy.”
“Maybe they will one day.” Ronnie said. “Not now, maybe not now. But maybe in the future.” Hearing that made Lacy start crying. She smashed her cigarette in the ashtray on the coffee table and hugs Ronnie. She starts to cry on him.
“I miss him so much!”
“I imagine that you probably miss your father.” Ronnie says as he puts his arms around Lacy. Robert was peaking into the living room and didn’t like what he saw. It just made him more angry.
“She always goes to him. Screw them.” Robert thought and walks away. He went out the backdoor to stand out there. He didn’t understand why he felt so upset.
At school, it was snowing outside. School was practically over, Craig had walked over to Lacy. “Hey Lacy.” He said staring at her. She didn’t even look at him. “Want to go out somewhere?”
“Why?” Lacy asked.
“A date. Or are you dating Robert or Ronnie?” Craig asks.
“I am not dating them.” Lacy seemed to be in a cranky mood. Craig still tried.
“If you want, you can come with me. If you want.”
“Fine.” Lacy just agreed to it. Ronnie and Robert watched it happened. They felt uncomfortable with the idea of Lacy going with Craig on a date. Everyone was leaving the school. Craig let Lacy drop her backpack off at the house, afterwards they went to his grandparents to drop off his backpack and then they both went out.
“What do you two think of Craig going on a date with Lacy?” Max asked Robert and Ronnie. He came over there house for the day.
“Lacy went out with Craig?” Bryan asked confused.
“Apparently.” Ronnie responds. He didn’t understand why she wanted to do that, but he knew he shouldn’t ask Lacy questions when it was none of his business.
“Let’s watch some cartoons!” Bryan turned the TV on and puts on a cartoon for them all to watch.
Lacy was with Craig as a restaurant. Craig ordered Lacy some food and some for himself and they both were eating. “Why did you decide to take me out?” Lacy asks. She was confused.
“Because, I think you’re cute.” Craig answered. Lacy blushes a little. She really didn’t know much about Craig. She just knew he mainly knew Bryan.
“I honestly need to get myself a boyfriend. I feel so weird.”
“Why? Do you want to tell me about it?” Craig asked. Lacy wasn’t sure if she wanted to tell Craig what she did with Robert and Ronnie. She didn’t want him to be grossed out from her.
“Well… I don’t know if I feel comfortable talking about it.”
“That’s alright, sweetheart. You don’t have to.” Craig responds. Lacy just blushes a little more, she wasn’t sure what this feeling she was having near him.
“I’ll get snacks!” Bryan left the living room and went to the kitchen. Max looked both at Ronnie and Robert.
“Uhh, I don’t know how I should tell you two this, but… You both like Lacy right?”
“I don’t love anyone.” Robert rudely answers.
“Well, whatever. Craig isn’t someone you should honestly trust Lacy with.”
“What do you mean?” Ronnie didn’t understand what Max was trying to say.
“Let me put it simple. Craig isn’t a guy that’s into relationships. He just likes to do the bang and go.” Max responds. Ronnie glares and so did Robert. They both didn’t like hearing that.
“WHAT?!”
“It’s true! Craig has been like this for a while now! He just sleeps with girls and don’t form a relationship with them!”
“That fucking bastard!” Robert said wanting to kill Craig. Robert and Ronnie just got their coats and ran out the door. Bryan came into the living room.
“Where’s Robert and Ronnie?” He asked. He didn’t know where his brothers went.
“They went to go get Lacy.” Max tells Bryan.
“Why?” Bryan just didn’t seem to understand. Max wasn’t sure if he should explain it to Bryan. He was too young to even know.
