Lacy and Ronnie were getting hot for each other. Taking their clothes off. When they got undressed. Ronnie noticed something about Lacy. “Lacy.”
“W-What?” She asks. She was laying down on the bed.
“Are you on your monthly cycle?” Ronnie asked. Lacy sat up.
“W-What?!” She asked. She was freaking out. She panicked. “What do you mean?!”
“You’re bleeding, and you had some in your underwear too.” Ronnie said. Lacy quickly just got up and ran out of the bedroom. She didn’t even care if she was naked. She ran straight to the bathroom.
“I can’t believe I forgot I was bleeding! Ronnie saw it too! Why am I bleeding?! More than before!” She was scared. Ronnie wasn’t sure what was going on, but he stared to get dressed. After he got dressed, he decided to help get Lacy some new clothes and went to the bathroom. He knocked on the door.
“Are you alright?” He asks her.
“Why am I bleeding so much?!” Lacy says. “My stomach hurts!” Lacy cries. She had tears in her eyes. She wasn’t sure what to think. She was terrified. Ronnie opened the door. Lacy didn’t even bother locking it.
“I got you some clothes. You should get dressed.” Ronnie tells her. Lacy kept crying.
“I HURT!”
“How long have you been hurting?” Ronnie asks her.
“FOR DAYS NOW! I WAS BLEEDING A LITTLE EARLIER BUT NOT LIKE THIS!” Lacy yelled. Lacy’s grandmother came to the door.
“Is everything okay?” She asks knocking.
“NO!” Lacy cried. She opened the door.
“What’s the matter in here?” She asked.
“I am confused. I don’t know either!” Ronnie admits. He really didn’t know.
“IT’S NOTHING!” Lacy lied. She grabbed her clothes and ran out of the bathroom. She started to get dressed in her bedroom. Ronnie came into the bedroom with the grandmother.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” She asks her granddaughter.
“She’s bleeding. It’s probably her monthly girl thing.” Ronnie tells the grandmother. Lacy’s grandmother stared at Lacy concerned.
“Lacy shouldn’t be having that.”
“Grandma! Can we talk?! In the other room?” Lacy asks and quickly left the bedroom with her grandmother. Ronnie was confused on what was happening.
Lacy was in her grandmother’s bedroom. “Lacy, is something the matter?” She asked.
“My stomach hurts! And I am bleeding!”
“Bleeding a little and stomach pain is common in early pregnancy.”
“But… I am bleeding a lot!” Lacy admits. She started bleeding a lot.
“That doesn’t sound right, how long have you been bleeding and been in pain?” Lacy’s grandmother asked.
“I been having stomach pain for the past days. Today, it got worse! And I have been bleeding for some days! It hurts more now!” Lacy says upset. Lacy’s grandmother could tell Lacy looked uncomfortable.
“You might need to go to the hospital. I’ll take you.” Ronnie came into the bedroom. “I need to take Lacy to the doctors. You can come back another day, alright?”
“What’s wrong with Lacy?”
“Something we can’t discuss right now. Let’s go Lacy.” Lacy left with her grandmother. Ronnie went home. He was confused what was going on with Lacy. She was crying. She seemed to be in a lot of pain. Ronnie felt bad for her. When he got home, he couldn’t even eat dinner. Brice, Michael, Mason, and Bryan were all eating.
“Why aren’t you eating your dinner?” Brice asked his son.
“I am worried about Lacy. She was in a lot of pain earlier and bleeding. Why would she need to go to the doctors? I am really confused.”
“That doesn’t sound right.” Brice got up and left the kitchen. He went to the phone and called up Abbilynn. She was home. “Did you hear about your daughter?”
“Yes, I am worried about her. She’s at the hospital with her grandma, I was on my way to her.”
“What do you think is the matter?” Brice asks.
“Hopefully it’s just implantation bleeding but it might not be. Worse it can be is a miscarriage.” Abbilynn answers Brice.
“That would really make her depressed. Doesn’t that effect any girl or women?” Brice asked.
“I don’t know. I need to go. Bye.” Abbilynn got off the phone with Brice.
“First pregnancy and might be losing it. She is going through a lot.” Brice thought to himself and went back to the kitchen.
After dinner, Robert came home. He went to his bedroom and saw Ronnie. “I am worried about Lacy. She went to the doctors for pain and had blood coming out. Is she on her period? Why would she have to go to a doctor?” Ronnie asks.
Lacy was sitting in the hospital. “I thought the pain and little of bleeding was normal.” Lacy says.
“It can be.” Her grandmother responded. A doctor came into the room.
“It seems you just likely recently miscarried your baby.”
“How?” Lacy asks.
“Your baby wasn’t developing correctly according to the results. You just need to let it pass and when the miscarriage is over you will stop bleeding. Your period should come back within 4 weeks.” The doctors tells Lacy.
“My baby wasn’t developing right?” Lacy asked. “How?”
“Genetic problems I believe.” The doctor replies. Lacy starts to cry.
“I…I am stupid.” Lacy says as she cried.
“This isn’t your fault. We will prescribe some medicine to take to help with it.” Lacy was depressed. The doctor left the room.
“Lacy…” Lacy’s grandmother felt bad for Lacy.
“I probably can’t even have any more kids even when I am older!” Lacy cries.
“That’s not true.”
Robert felt concerned about Lacy. He didn’t even want to tell Ronnie that Lacy was pregnant. He left and went to look for his dad. He found him in the living room watching TV. “Dad, I heard about Lacy. Is she okay?”
“She is at the hospital. I am not sure, for what it sounds, likely her baby isn’t okay.” Brice responds. “Did you even tell Ronnie that she was pregnant?”
“No. Lacy didn’t either I don’t think.”
“Do you think the baby was Ronnie’s?”
“More in likely.” Robert responds.
“Then don’t tell him about it. It’s better that he didn’t know. He shouldn’t know Lacy was pregnant. I think she lost the baby anyways.” Brice said. Ronnie heard everything. He was outside in the hallway.
“Lacy was pregnant? Most likely by me? And no one even told me about it? Dad knew? Robert knew?” Ronnie was confused, but he felt hurt. Lacy was pregnant and most likely the baby was gone. His baby. “Lacy…” Ronnie felt depressed. He walks away and went out of the house. He didn’t even care if he didn’t have a jacket on. He went walking. He had a lot on his mind. Thinking about Lacy. Thinking about the baby that was gone.
“I feel bad…” Ronnie says and went into a store. He had a little of allowance money and felt like he wanted to spend it on Lacy. “She doesn’t know that I know about the pregnancy and possible miscarriage. I still… I still want to give her something.” Ronnie looked at flowers. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to give her some or not. He didn’t want her to think something of it if he gave her them. He decided to go for something else. He went looking around in the store.
“What will Lacy like?” Ronnie wondered. He stopped and looked at a choker. It had a cross on it. The choker was black with gray lace on it. He stared at it. The cross was silver. “Lacy might like that. She would look good in it too.” Ronnie decided to buy it.
Robert was in his bedroom. Thinking about what Stephanie told him. “Stephanie said something about the baby. The baby is gone as she said. How does Stephanie know things? That really is weird.” Robert thought as he was smoking sitting on his bed. “Lacy is probably upset. I don’t know what to say about it. The baby wasn’t mine. According to Stephanie, I can’t have babies. Not that I want one.” Robert smashes his cigarette in the ashtray.
“Just what is my life turning to?” Robert wonders. He got off the bed and looked out the window. “It feels different that Lacy isn’t living here with us anymore, but then suddenly Michael and uncle Mason started living here. It really is strange.” There was a knock at the door. “Come in.” Robert says. Bryan came into the bedroom. Robert stared at his younger brother.
“I can’t deal with that Michael anymore!” Bryan says. “I have a problem with him!” Bryan shuts the door when he came into the bedroom.
“What has he been doing?” Robert asks.
“He’s been trying to make moves on my girl!”
“Girl? Your girl? You have a girlfriend?” Robert asks his brother confused.
“Well…” Bryan starts to blush and look down. “She isn’t exactly my girlfriend.” Bryan admits.
“Then what is she? A crush? You have a crush on a girl?” Robert asks. Bryan just nods slowly. “Madison?”
“W-What?! I don’t like her!” Bryan tried to deny it. Robert already knew.
“Bryan, I am not going to make fun of you for liking her. If you like her, then tell her.”
“I can’t. She doesn’t like me.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that one. Girls are weird.”
“You really are no help!” Bryan ran out of the bedroom.
“Bryan has a crush on Madison. Love really doesn’t exist.” Robert thought to himself.
