Those Three Chapter 27

“I think you’re mistaken. I don’t think Alana would do that, and besides I know Max. He wasn’t dating anyone before he was with Alana. That’s a lie.” Craig corrected Trinity. She glared at him. “Your friend is a liar. I know Max. He’s my best friend. He dated no one before Alana. Him and Alana has been together for a while. And as for Lacy beating up Peg and giving her bruises, I can’t say because I don’t know if it’s true or not. I am not saying Peg is lying about that, but if it was true, she must’ve pissed Lacy off so bad.”

“LACY STOLE ROBERT FROM PEG TOO! PEG WAS DATING HIM AND HE GOT HER PREGNANT AND WENT BACK TO THAT STANK LACY!” Sarah yelled at Craig.

“What? Robert was in no relationship with Peg. He doesn’t even like her. I know that’s a lie.” Bryan said and helped Alana up. “Robert loves Lacy, he’s been with her.”

Trinity and Sarah were angry and walked off. Not saying another word.

“I guess they got caught up in Peg’s lies.” Craig said and stared over at Alana who had tears coming down her face. “Oh no, are you alright?” Craig was concerned about Alana and it showed. Alana stared at Craig.

“I am so stupid.” Alana said with tears coming down her face.

“You aren’t stupid.” Craig brought Alana over towards him and hugs her. Alana wasn’t sure if that was alright for him to do since he was in a relationship with Katie. “Alana, let’s get you home so you can rest.”

“D-Do you think my baby is okay?” Alana asked.

“I think your baby should be fine.” Bryan smiles at Alana. “Besides, they didn’t get to physically hurt you, just pulled your hair.” Craig let’s Alana go.

“I think Peg has been stirring up her pot again she likes to do. Her drama and stuff.” Craig said.

“Hey Alana, shouldn’t you have a limo come pick you up from school today?” Bryan asked. She nods.

“Yes, they probably are worried about me.” Alana says and walks away. Bryan and Craig decided to walk with her to make sure that Trinity and Sarah didn’t try to hurt her again.

At Robert’s apartment, Lacy woke up naked in Robert’s bed. As she sat up, she turned to look around to see if she seen Robert. But she didn’t see him. She rubs her eyes and then looks down at the bed.

“Last night, Robert didn’t want to do that at first with me, but then he got back into the mood. We did it on and off last night until early morning. He ended up leaving for work and I didn’t even go to school.” Lacy thought to herself. “He’s still not back yet. I wonder why my mom won’t let me just quit school so I can be with Robert?”

Lacy got out of bed. She decided to take a shower and get a different outfit on. Lacy had some clothes that she liked to leave over Robert’s apartment besides having clothes at home.

“Robert should be home soon.” Lacy thought to herself. She decided to get something to eat from the cabinet. A bag of potato chips. She also got a can of soda out of the fridge while she waited for Robert to come home. She decided to watch some TV.

A couple hours had passed and Robert didn’t come home. Lacy began to worry about him.

“What’s taking him?” Lacy wondered. She decided maybe to give him a text.

Lacy’s Text: Robert are you ok? You haven’t came home… (With a sad emoiji)

She was hoping that she would get a response fast from him. Hoping that she will be worried for nothing and that he’s just stuck in work a little later. But she began to wonder if maybe she was wrong because he shouldn’t have to stay this late after.

Alana had gone home from the ride that she had gotten. She was quiet the whole car ride. When she got home, she just went to her bedroom and laid down on her bed. Not saying a word to anything. She felt exhausted and tired. She was also confused. Confused with them two girls she didn’t meet before, but they were friends with Peg, Lacy’s older half-sister. Confused on why them seemed to hate her? Why have they wanted to hurt her? Why did Peg claim to have been dating Max before Alana? It wasn’t true. Craig said it wasn’t.

Alana wanted to ask Max. Or just talk to him. She was upset. She sat up on her bed and looked at her phone. Staring at Max in her contacts.

“He won’t answer me if I called him right now.” Alana says to herself as she stared at her phone. Tears started coming down her face. “He won’t answer me.”

Max was sitting home. He was just lying on his bed. Louie came into the bedroom.

“You aren’t upset about, grandpa?” Louie asked.

“No.” Max responded.

“I am not either.” Louie walks over to Max’s bed. Staring at his older brother. “I feel nothing about it.” Max sat up.

“You barely knew anything much about him. Sherry didn’t either.” Max says.

“But you grew up with him, you don’t feel nothing for him passing?” Louie asked. The truth was, Max didn’t show up at school for the day because his parents found out his grandpa had recently passed. It was from the night before. He had a heart attack when no one was around.

Max wasn’t even sure how he felt. He grew up with his grandpa. He and him used to be close before, until Max got curious to know the truth about his parents. Soon he realized his grandpa was keeping him from his parents. His grandpa had told him that his parents passed, but the truth was he took him from his parents after throwing his dad out of the home. And Max’s mother got kicked out by her parents. Max felt angry that his grandpa had kept him away from his parents. He was even more angry with his grandpa when he acted like Max couldn’t spend time with his parents or see him.

Eventually, Max’s parents had gotten custody of Max again after a custody battle. Max’s mother was a very young teenager when Max was born, and his father was an older teenager. Max was surprised to see that his parents were still together all this time since they were young. For only a short period of time, Max had thought his grandpa wanted to make things better and they moved into a bigger home. At the time, Max’s mother was pregnant, but she lost it in a miscarriage and decided not to have anymore kids. Max’s grandpa ended up wanting to argue and left the home.

Max hasn’t spoke much to his grandpa since then. The recent time he spoke to him was when his grandpa gave him a ride home. Trying to tell him lies about Alana. Lies that Max knew wasn’t true.

“He was a liar. He treated our parents like shit.” Max tells Louie and got off his bed, standing up.

“Where are you going?” Louie asked.

“For a walk.” Max left the bedroom and made his way out of the house. The walk seemed forever for Max as he just felt lost walking. He wasn’t sure how he should feel about his grandpa passing. He wasn’t sure if he should be sad or not. He still felt upset with him for what had happened. Not even paying attention, Max had walked to Alana’s home.

Alana had left her bedroom and was about to go for a walk. She thought that it might help clear her mind. When she walked outside, she was surprised to see Max standing there thanks to the outside lights, she could see him in the dark. He was staring at the ground. Alana blinked and tried to rub her eyes thinking that she might’ve been hallucinating that she saw Max standing there.

“Max?” She couldn’t believe her eyes. He really was there. Standing there, right in front of her. Max realized he heard Alana’s voice. Realizing that he had walked to Alana. To her home. He wanted to run off, he wasn’t even sure if he was ready to face her. But his feet wouldn’t move. He wouldn’t run off.

“Max? Are you okay?” Alana asks. She was concerned. Max stared at her. Tears running down his face. Alana walks over to him. She was staring up at him and touched his face. “Max is something the matter?”

“I…I…I am sorry.” Max puts his arms around Alana’s waist. Bringing her close to him. Hugging her. Alana was surprised but puts her arms around his neck. Tj was staring out the window from his bedroom. He saw Alana and Max hugging outside.

“They seem like they might’ve got back together.” Tj thought to himself.

Lacy was sitting at Robert’s apartment with still no answer from him. “I left him texts he hasn’t gotten back from, and I called twice. I think it’s time I go and look for him.” Lacy decided to go out looking for Robert.

Lacy decided she wanted to go to Robert’s work and see if he was there. Not far from Robert’s apartment, Peg had decided to get her and her friends to find Lacy. There were really going to go to Robert’s apartment, but instead they ran into Lacy nearby the apartment building.

Lacy saw standing in front of her was Peg and Isabelle. Trinity and Sarah were behind Lacy.

“Look who is out this late at night.” Sarah said and snickered.

“It’s the bang the two brothers slut.” Peg laughed. Lacy glared at her.

“What do you want? Who are these girls? Your friends? Or do they fuck you?” Lacy asked and started to laugh. “You all probably screw each other.”

“You need to shut your mouth!” Peg snapped at Lacy. She felt angry staring at her.

“Don’t treat me like I am some dirty slut! We all know you were the nasty one! You were out doing two brothers before.” Peg says and laughs.

“And so what if I did? I did it in my past. I was stupid. But you’re no angel yourself. You slept with a lot of men, don’t deny it.” Lacy felt like Peg’s argument against her was pointless. It was true, Peg had slept with other guys before. “Your body count is probably 10 or more by now.”

“It is NOT!” Peg punched Lacy and caused her to fall to the floor. “I NEVER SLEPT WITH ALL THOSE MEN!” Lacy wiped some blood from her lip from where Peg had punched her.

“You need to be taught a lesson!” Sarah glared at Lacy.
