It was winter break. During winter break, Lacy still couldn’t really confront Robert about what had happened. Telling him that she loves him. Robert was surprised about it and wanted to know, but didn’t pressure Lacy about it. Ronnie haven’t seem like himself. He just kept leaving all the time and the two that picked him up was Tj and Kevin. Brice and Abbilynn have been going on dates for the past few days.
“Okay, this is weird, Robert. Daddy is gone. Abbilynn is gone. I know James went over his friend Nikki’s place for two nights for a sleepover. Ronnie left with two older guys. What’s going on?!” Bryan asked Robert. Expecting an answer.
“Like I have a clue. Dad might of went to work. Same with Lacy’s mom. Ronnie is just a weirdo.”
“Who are those guys that Ronnie keeps leaving with anyways?” Bryan asked. He didn’t know them.
“Some guys that sell weird things or so I heard as a rumor in school. Ronnie should be fine.” Robert didn’t think much of it.
“Where’s Lacy?” Bryan asked.
“I think she’s having period week.” Robert laughs a little and turns the TV on. “Get out of my way and let me watch TV.” Bryan glares.
“Christmas is coming soon. I should go out and get presents. Hey, Robert, when are we going to put the tree up? It’s getting later and later. Christmas is just around the corner.” Robert stood up and sighs.
“I’ll go set it up. Can’t watch TV anyways.”
“Alright! I’ll go shopping for some gifts! Okay? Bye!”
“Wait!” Robert didn’t want Bryan leaving by himself, but Bryan grabs his coat and already ran out the door. “He better not get hurt and know the way home.” Robert mumbles and went to go look for the Christmas tree to put it up.
Craig received a phone call from him at his grandparents’ home. He answers it. It was Max. “What are you doing for the holidays?” Max asked Craig.
“Are you trying to pick me up?” Craig asked.
“Hell no! I just wanted to know what you were doing.” Max said. Craig laughed a little.
“I’m going to spend the holidays with my sister and dad. Also with my grandparents. Why?’ Craig asks.
“Oh. My grandpa won’t let me see my parents and grounded me for seeing them. Isn’t that bullshit?”
“it is. You should be allowed to see your parents. That’s just messed up.”
“I know. My grandpa is getting ridiculous lately. I can’t really take it anymore. He’s getting so strict with me.”
“I wish I can help, but I can’t. If you weren’t grounded, I would’ve invited you here.” Craig tells his best friend.
“Life sucks for me!” Max cries.
Madison was happy, she had heard that her dad was getting out of the hospital and she couldn’t wait to see him. “When is daddy and mommy coming?” Madison asked her uncle.
“Soon. Your mother just went to get your dad only 30 minutes ago. Give them some time.” Madison’s uncle said and laughed a little. Madison was very impatient. She wanted to see her dad and couldn’t wait any longer. Madison’s uncle looked out the window.
“The snow is really picking up out there.” He said as he looked out there.
“That snow better not slow daddy and mommy down!” Madison glares. “I want to spend Christmas with the whole family again.”
“I know.” Madison’s uncle smiles at her. Madison ran to the phone and went to call Katie.
“Hello?” Katie actually answered.
“Katie! It’s me! My dad is better! He’s coming out of the hospital! I can’t wait to see him!” Madison was excited she had to tell her best friend.
“That really is good news!” Katie smiles.
“Who’s on the phone?” Katie’s mom asked her daughter.
“My friend.” Katie answered. Katie’s mom left the living room to give Katie privacy.
“I can’t wait to spend Christmas this year with my daddy. Oh, I have a present for you too. I’ll try to give it to you soon.”
“I have a present for you too.” Katie said. She felt happy knowing that her friend was very happy.
Ronnie was over Tj’s house. His mother lived in a house and was at work. “You’re brother left you a lot of cool things before he went to jail?” Ronnie asked.
“Hell yeah. But he’s getting out soon.” Tj responds to Ronnie. They went into the basement together of the house. “Oh, by the way, don’t tell my mom. I don’t want her knowing this.” Tj pulled a little suitcase out and opened it. Ronnie was surprised to see lots of needles and different times of pills in containers.
“What is all this stuff?” Ronnie asked.
“Dope.” Kevin tells Ronnie.
“You guys do this stuff?” Ronnie asks.
“I get paid and I get to buy dumb things to sell in school. I sell, I buy, you get the picture? My brother did the same. He got in trouble. But he’s getting out for just making it look good.” Tj laughed. Ronnie wasn’t sure about hanging with these two guys anymore.
“You aren’t scared are you?” Kevin asked. “Did I forget to mention that our man Tj sells drugs in school too?” Kevin laughed.
“You flatter me.” Tj says and pulled out a needle out. “Is this your first time?”
“Actually… yeah.” Ronnie wasn’t sure if he felt comfortable with the whole idea.
“You know, you don’t have to go through with it. Just keep your mouth shut about us though.” Kevin tells Ronnie. “But if you’re having a tough life or depressed about something, this really does the trick.” Ronnie wasn’t sure if he wanted to do it or not.
Bryan was walking around in town. “I wonder what I should get everyone. I have been saving money for the year for Christmas gifts.” Bryan goes into a store. “I wonder if I should get Robert or Ronnie a music cd? They might like that. But I got to think for dad too. Do I have to get Lacy and her family something? I really don’t think I should, but… I don’t want to be rude.” Bryan was confused, but wanted to focus on getting presents for his family first, as he believed they go first.
Robert was putting the Christmas tree up and Lacy came downstairs. “Where is everyone?” She asks.
“Out.” Robert responds.
“I didn’t think you were into Christmas.” Lacy said as she stared at Robert putting the tree up in the living room.
“I am not really. Putting this damn thing up for Bryan.”
“Does he still believe in Santa?” Lacy asked.
“Hell should I know, he shouldn’t.” Robert answered. He got the tree set up and was now adding the ornaments on it.
“Robert, I… I know I shouldn’t of probably said what I did days ago. You know… when we…?”
“What is there to apologize for?” Robert asked not even looking at Lacy.
“I wonder where Ronnie has been lately these days? I I keep trying to… well give him a kiss and he just ignores me a little. You noticed that?” Lacy asked Robert and started helping him put the ornaments up.
“I noticed. He’s been grouchy lately too. I am not sure what the hell his problem is though.” Robert noticed Ronnie acting a little different to him as well. “And who is he running off hanging with anyways?”
“I am not really sure. Just guys I heard that sell stuff in school.” Lacy replies. That’s all she did knew, she never bought anything from Tj, but heard about it from others.
“I am not sure, but don’t you think it’s odd that our parents didn’t find out? Find out about us or you with Ronnie?”
“That is a little odd.” Lacy said and then sits down on the sofa. “I don’t want my mom to be upset with me or think poorly of me for what I have done.” Lacy started to worry now.
“She should still love you if you’re her daughter, no matter what if you did something wrong. My dad did wrong things in his life, I am sure he would probably understand me.” Robert finished setting the tree up and then sits down on the sofa by Lacy.
“I am also so surprised. I am not even pregnant from all that I been having.”
“Weird and surprising.” Robert said and looks at her.
“Robert, I slept…slept with you more than I did Ronnie. And I really like you both. I am sorry.” Lacy says and looks back at Robert. “If Ronnie is upset, I was thinking of doing something special for him. But… I don’t know how or what.”
“What are you going to do? Have sex with him on your period?” Robert rudely asked and laughed a little.
“My body is for you and Ronnie until I actually find someone. Same with you two.” Lacy tells Robert.
“Don’t you feel weird, being our slut?” Robert asks. Lacy looks down.
“I don’t know… I don’t feel right if I tried to be with someone else, but you two…” Lacy answers. Robert pushes Lacy down on the sofa and starts kissing her. She kisses back. Abbilynn just had came home from work.
“Work is getting hard these days and all the snow too.” Abbilynn peaked into the living room and saw Robert kissing Lacy.
“W-What?!” Abbilynn decided to stop staring at them two. She couldn’t believe what she saw. Robert and Lacy were making out of the sofa. Right under her nose, she didn’t even know these two felt strongly for her. “W-What am I going to do?! I should stop them, but I have to tell Brice! I can’t date him if Lacy and Robert were already dating!” Abbilynn thought to herself.
Robert stops kissing Lacy. “Robert, I have a headache today. This girl monthly thing just wears me out sometimes.” Lacy said sitting back up on the sofa.
“I’ll get you something to drink.” Robert got up off the sofa. Abbilynn quickly ran upstairs when Robert went out into the hallway to get to the kitchen.
At dinner time, Ronnie didn’t even show up for dinner. He was lying on his bed upstairs. James was still at his friend’s home Everyone else was at the dinner table. Abbilynn felt uneasy. “How am I going to tell Brice?” She was confused on what to do.
“Christmas is getting close. I want cookies on Christmas!” Bryan smiled.
“We will have cookies.” Brice tells his son. Bryan seemed happy. Under the table, Robert reached his hand and grabs Lacy’s hand that she wasn’t using to eat with. Lacy was surprised about this.
“W-Why is he holding my hand?” Lacy wondered and began to blush.
