Lacy took turns crying on both Robert and Ronnie. “Please don’t hate me for acting weird like this!” Lacy said feeling upset and scared. “I don’t want to be alone!”
“Lacy. We don’t hate you. We don’t want to take advantage of you.” Robert tells her as he rubbed the back of her head.
“Yeah, Lacy I liked you since the first moment I saw you. I am not sure if that’s true with Robert too, but we won’t try to do anything with you when we’re still getting to know you. And hell, maybe one of us would be dating you by then.” Ronnie says in a clam tone to Lacy.
“I want to date! I do! But you both don’t seem to be even interested in me! Is it because I’m not a virgin?!” Lacy asked and let’s go of Robert. She grabbed her clothes on the floor and started dressing herself.
“No. It’s not.” Robert responds. “We both can’t date you. Think of your reputation.”
“I don’t give a damn about my stupid reputation!” Lacy snaps at Robert.
“You really like us both? Do you like one more than the other?” Ronnie asked Lacy. She shook her head.
“No. I like you both the same. I feel like I want to be with you both and… I don’t want to lose either of you. Not after you both came into my life.” Lacy said as she tries to dry her tears.
“We can’t just be friends with benefits until one dates you. That wouldn’t be right. And what if you get pregnant?” Ronnie said and felt weird saying it.
“I won’t get pregnant.” Lacy said. “We all are teenagers. Teenagers get horny and have sex. That’s common.”
“How do you know you won’t get pregnant? You don’t have regular periods?” Robert asks her.
“My periods are normal. I just won’t have sex on certain days according to my mom’s book she had.”
“Yeah, but what if there’s a small chance you could get pregnant and you end up being pregnant?” Ronnie asked her.
“It won’t happen!” Lacy looked down.
“Wait, you really want us to be friends with you with benefits? Lacy, are you sure you aren’t drunk?” Robert asked her. She looked the other way.
“I just want to be with you both. And if that’s the way you two wanted then… but… maybe it will help me realize who I like more and want to be with.” Lacy says. She felt like she was confusing herself. Hearing more coming through her mouth made her hate herself more. “Ugh! No matter what I do I just sound like some dumb slut or whore that just wants sex!” Lacy says and ran out of the attic.
“Robert, do you understand what’s going?” Ronnie asked.
“Not really. I don’t understand why Lacy tried to have sex with us.” Robert was confused as much as Ronnie was.
When it was dinner time, Lacy, Robert, and Ronnie were all quiet. “Tomorrow I have a day off. I can’t wait. Working is annoying and hard.” Abbilynn said feeling relief about her day off tomorrow.
“Daddy, I finished my homework. The teacher told me that I was doing good in my English class.” Bryan said with a smile.
“That’s good. You need to get a good education and when you grow up, get a good job to support yourself.” Brice said and took a bite of his food. He looked over at Robert. “Are you doing good in school?”
“I’m fine.” Robert lies. He felt awkward being in the kitchen with Lacy. Thinking about what happened earlier. Lacy felt weird being in the kitchen with Robert and Ronnie. She felt embarrassed of her behavior earlier that day and the way she acted.
“I can’t believe what I did. I feel like I really was a nasty girl just wanting to get it on with two brothers. I really do feel like I like them both. I want to be with them both, but maybe I will figure out who I like more. Maybe this is all too soon and I just need to calm down.” Lacy thinks to herself and gets up. “I’m going to bed.” Lacy said and left the kitchen.
“I hope your daughter is okay.” Brice said to Abbilynn.
“Oh. She must be having girl problems.” Abbilynn laughed a little.
Lacy went straight to the attic. She went to her bed and laid down. Tears ran down her face. “I am stupid.” She mumbles to herself.
Katie had gone home, Madison was having dinner with her uncle and mother. “My plan should work.” Madison thought to herself. “I will set up Robert and Katie, then I can be with Ronnie.”
She was smiling.
“Madison, eat your food before it gets cold.” Madison’s mother, Monica said.
“I will mommy.” Madison answers and started eating her food.
Instead of sleeping over his grandparents’ house, Craig was spending the night with Max. Max’s grandpa wasn’t home again. “It’s nice staying here with us both and just relaxing.” Craig said.
“Watching porn too.” Max laughed as he was smoking a cigarette.
“My grandparents don’t seem to mind if I spend nights over here.” Craig said and looked down.
“My father seems to be doing good. I just hope we can all be a family again one day. But we lost out old house. I wish my mother was here to help make things better.”
“No one found out where your mother is?” Max asked.
“That’s correct. Ever since I was 9, I haven’t seen my mother. She was always nice and kind to my sister and me. Until our uncle and came was sleeping over. He had no where to stay and so my father let his brother in until he got a job and could make it on his own. My grandparents, my dad’s parents threw my uncle out because they were getting sick of him. My dad felt sorry and decided to take him in and help him.”
“Biggest mistake in his life.” Max said as he crushed his cigarette in an ashtray on the bed. Putting it out.
“Yeah. My dad was an asshole and didn’t believe my mother when I know she was telling the truth. It got worse and my mother felt like she couldn’t do anything. Then my father threw her out of the house, taking up for his brother and believed my mother was in the wrong.”
“Then your father caught your uncle in action, is that correct?” Max asked.
“Ever since then, my dad started drinking. He tried finding my mother, but she was nowhere to be found.” Craig answers.
“So, your uncle was on drugs. He started shooting them in your mother and got her on them. Then was raping your mother. Is that how it was?” Craig nods to what Max was saying. “Your father walked in on your uncle one day coming home from work. He was-“
“I already know!” Craig yelled over Max. He looked upset.
“Craig, hey, it’s okay. It wasn’t your fault.” Max said. Craig gets up and went off to the bathroom.
“I hate my uncle! I hate that my dad believed him over my mother!” Craig cries in the bathroom with the door shut. “I hate that sick bastard that raped my little sister! I hate his some much and happy he’s in prison! He raped my little sister!” Craig was trying to dry his tears. “He even did the same to me what he did to my sister and mother. My dad went and made sure to get a checkup on my sister and me. To make sure we had no diseases from it. Were fine but… that scared me.” Craig thinks to himself as he felt sad thinking of it.
Lacy was still lying on the floor crying in her blankets. She was upset with herself. “I made a fool of myself in front of Robert and Ronnie.” Lacy thought. She laid up and got up off the floor. She took her clothes off and began getting dressed into her pajamas. She went by the window and looked out of it. “I don’t even understand myself. I didn’t want Robert touching me without Ronnie knowing. Why do I feel like I like them both? That’s not possible, is it?” Lacy felt confused.
After dinner, Bryan was watching a cartoon with his father. Abbilynn was taking a shower. James had gone to the bedroom to do research on a project he was fascinated with. “We should try to talk to Lacy.” Ronnie suggested. Robert and Ronnie were both still in the kitchen. Robert was cleaning the dishes. “What she did was weird, but…”
“It was weird. I don’t understand her, she didn’t want me taking her clothes off when I was alone with her when we kept kissing, but she did it anyways when you were in the room. You think she likes you more?” Robert asked. Ronnie blushes a little.
“W-Wait… She said she likes us both!” Ronnie quickly blurts out. He felt nervous about the idea of Lacy liking him more. After Robert was finished washing the dishes, they both went upstairs to the attic. When they got there they saw Lacy looking out the window and was sitting on the floor. The window was quite huge actually. Lacy looked over at them two as they were closing the door.
“What? Did you guys come up here to make fun of me?” Lacy asked.
“No.” Robert responds. Robert and Ronnie both went over to her and sits down. “Lacy, may I ask you why did you not let me undress you but did it anyways when Ronnie was in the room?” Lacy blushes.
“Because… I don’t want to do anything anymore behind your back or his. I like you both.” Lacy answered. “I don’t want to do anything without the other knowing.”
“Why do you like us both?” Ronnie asks.
“Because. You both treat me nice, you both saved me. You two are the best friends I ever had in my life. Growing up I never had any friends. I did meet these two boys before when I was just a child. It was when my dad left.” Lacy explains. “My dad left my mother, my brother, and me one day. I was so depressed I tried running away.” Lacy starts to tell Robert and Ronnie a story from her past.
Young Lacy was crying and ran out of her house. “Daddy left! I’m going to be with daddy! I’ll find daddy and make this better!” Lacy was just 5-years-old. Her mother was depressed, but was trying to take care of the baby James when Rick, Lacy’s father left. “Daddy!” Lacy called out searching everywhere for her dad. Lacy couldn’t find him. “If I can’t find daddy, then I won’t go home too!” Lacy sits down on the side walk and was crying.
A father with three boys happen to be walking by. The youngest was in a stroller and the father was pushing it. The other two were side by side by their father. “Daddy! I love this cotton candy!” One of the boys said with a smile. He was silently younger than the other boy.
“Who’s she?” The older boy asked and pointed at Lacy.
“I am not sure.” The father answered. The oldest boy ran over to her.
“Who are you and why are you crying?” He asked. She looked up at him.
“My daddy left me…” She said.
“What? Your father left you?” The dad of the boys asked.
“He left my mommy, my little brother, and me.” Lacy said and was crying again. The other boy came over that was holding some cotton candy.
“You should go back to your mommy.” The boy said and hands Lacy his cotton candy. “We came back from a carnival. You can have this.” He smiles at her. She stopped crying and took it and starts to eat. The father walks over as he pushed the stroller.
“Do you know where you live?” The man asked the little girl.
“I live in a blue house.” She answered.
“Do you know the street?” The man asks her. She shook her head. Abbilynn had noticed that her daughter was missing and went out looking for her. Worried. Abbilynn happened to see her daughter not too far from the house.
“Lacy!” She said. Lacy got up and ran over to her mom and hugged her. “Don’t ever run off on your own!”
“I’m sorry mommy! I miss daddy!” Lacy cries. Later that same day, Lacy was outside in the yard playing with her baby doll. The two boys happen to walk over. “What you doing here?” Lacy asked them.
“I can’t believe we live so close!” The older boy said surprised. “We live in that house over there.” The older boy points. “We live with our grandma and grandpa.”
“Wanna be our friend?” The other boy asked. She smiles.
“Okay!”
“You’re daddy might’ve left but you’re not alone.” The oldest tells her. Hearing that made Lacy felt better. Lacy looked at Robert and Ronnie as she was finishing up telling them what happened to her before.
“Ever since then, I try to remember that I’m not alone no matter what. It wasn’t too long later that we moved to my grandma’s. I forgot those boys’ names.”
