Those Three Chapter 10
The words about the two of them breaking up hurt Bryan. He didn't want Madison and him to break up.
"M-Madison!" Bryan went to the door but she was already gone. Slamming the front door as she left. Bryan looked down. "What have I done?" Bryan thought to himself feeling upset.
Madison was walking home. She was crying. "Stupid Bryan! I don't know why I liked him in the first place! Maybe we wasn't really in love! We are young!" Madison says as she walked. "I feel like love is so stupid and pointless!"
Lacy was in Robert's apartment with him. The both of them were watching TV. "What did Ronnie meant? Was he trying to tell me something? Robert wouldn't cheat on me with that Stephanie girl would he? I don't think he would. I mean I am almost always over here but... When I am not here does he?" Lacy wondered. She didn't understand what Ronnie meant. She did noticed it was kind of odd for Stephanie's apartment to just be acrossed from Robert's. That did strike her as odd. No doubt about that, but she wasn't sure if Ronnie was trying to tell her something or was just lying to her.
"Robert, can I um ask you something?" Lacy asked nervously. Robert stared at her.
"What is it?"
"It's um..." Lacy wasn't sure how to ask him. She felt nervous about it. She didn't want Robert mad at her if she asked him. Would it be wrong for her to ask such a question? It would be like she didn't trust Robert. But what Ronnie told her made her keep thinking about it over and over.
"Are you going to ask me? You were going to ask me something, what is it?" Robert asks her. Lacy looks down.
"It's about... Stephanie."
"Stephanie? What about her? Her and Ronnie together?" Robert asks. She shook her head.
"No. Ronnie... He said something to me today before you came home from work."
"What did he say?"
"He told me... He said something about Stephanie. How she is across the hall from you. Living in the same apartment building as you. He asked me why did I think her apartment was across from yours... I think... I think he's trying to imply that something is going on between the both of you."
"What?!" Robert stood up. He looked angry. "I DON'T GOT NO DAMN THING GOING ON WITH HER! I DON'T LIKE HER THAT WAY!" Robert yelled.
"Robert! Wait a second! I was just trying to get it off my chest! I didn't think you would do such a thing! I'm sorry." Lacy apologized. "It was wrong for me to bring that up or even thinking about asking you, but... I kept thinking about it. I just wanted to make sure that Ronnie was wrong. I felt like he was lying."
"I can't believe him! The only one that seems to have a thing going on with Stephanie is him! I bet he said that to get us to fight! That damn asshole! I don't understand why he won't grow up and move on!" Robert sat down on the sofa again.
"Ronnie is still in love with me even though I am with Robert. Why don't he just let me go? I don't understand why he would like me so much I really am not that great..." Lacy thought to herself. She felt confused with Ronnie and why he still had feelings for her. It was obvious that he did and was trying his best to get Robert and Lacy to fight with each other.
The next day had came. Madison was sitting on her bed. She cried herself to sleep and slept a lot the night before.
"I can't believe what I said to Bryan... The two of us..." Madison thinks to herself. She brought her knees close to her as she was sitting on her bed. Madison picked up her cellphone and sent a text to Katie.
Katie was awake and brushing her hair when her phone buzzed when she got the text. She picked up her cellphone to look at the text.
Madison's Text: I broke up with Bryan.
"What? She really did that?" Katie was surprised and sent text back to Madison.
Madison stared at the text that her friend Katie had sent her.
Katie's Text: Are you okay?
Madison replies back to Katie's text.
Madison's Text: I'm fine.
Madison sat her phone down on her end table. Some tears came back down her face. "Why did I say that to Bryan? I like him so much and I just broke up with him..." Madison thought to herself feeling upset.
When Bryan woke up, he didn't even want breakfast. He was just lying on his bed in his bedroom. He couldn't get what Madison to him out of his mind. He felt depressed and couldn't believe that she would just break up with him like that. The two fought before in the past and he knew lately they kept fighting a lot but he didn't think something like this would've happened.
"I don't understand why she did that... I did something wrong to her again... And I just kept ignoring her and the problems..." Bryan thought to himself.
Ronnie was awake and was eating breakfast with Stephanie. "I don't think your little trick worked." Stephanie tells Ronnie. He didn't say anything and just ignored her. "Your little trick of trying to get Lacy and Robert to break up. Don't use me for your little schemes."
"Shut up." Ronnie mumbles and took a bite of his food.
"I am nice enough to let you sleep here and eat here. You don't have to be rude." Stephanie tells him.
"I don't understand why you bother to care to treat me nicely when I don't love you or like you." Ronnie rudely said to Stephanie. She didn't respond to him and was just thinking to herself.
"I don't understand why I do. I guess because I like you. But I don't know why I had a dream about coming here and talking to you. I think I am just not good at predicting things anymore. I don't know but I... I can't stop myself from wanting Ronnie to stay." Stephanie was staring at Ronnie as she thought to herself and was eating her food slowly. Ronnie noticed her staring at him.
"Why are you staring at me?" Ronnie asks her.
"Because, I think you're cute and handsome. Even though you can be a jerk." Stephanie answered. Ronnie rolled his eyes and got up. He took his dishes and puts them in the sink and went to the bathroom.
"I don't understand that bitch. She still is trying to pick me up and think I will really fall for her when I like Lacy still. She's stupid. I love Lacy but I also hate her. That slut. Why did she do this to me?" Ronnie thought to himself.
In the afternoon, Katie had gone over the apartment where Madison was living at with her parents. Madison's parents were at work and Katie wanted to hang out with Madison. She believed that Madison was most likely upset because she broke up with Bryan.
"Hey, let's watch a funny movie together, what do you think?" Katie suggested. Madison was looking down. Katie could tell that she was upset. "Would you like to watch a funny movie?" Katie asks again. Madison shook her head.
"I am not in the mood." Madison responds.
"Then what do you want to do then? Go shopping maybe?" Katie made another suggestion but Madison just shook her head and declined.
"I don't feel like doing that either."
"Madison, maybe you made the wrong move just breaking up with him like that? Do you think that possibly that Bryan is hurt from all this and is sorry? Maybe you two should try to talk it out?"
"No way! He doesn't want to talk anything out! That's just the way he is! All he tries to do is freaking kiss me or make out with me instead of trying to work out a problem! Katie, he tries to get in my pants! I don't want that! I'm too young!" Madison blurts out.
"I didn't know all that. But you're right. You're too young, but you know boys..."
Katie blushed and began to remember what she tried to do with Craig recently. Since that day, Katie haven't exactly spoke to him face to face. She felt too nervous to and embarressed for what she tried to do. Katie wasn't even sure what came over her that day when she tried to get Craig to sleep with her. She was really wanting to wait for marriage but for some odd reason that day she felt like she couldn't control herself and the days before that she kept thinking too much about him.
"What am I saying? I am no better than Bryan! Ehh?!" Katie thought to herself.
