Katie was scared and same with Craig. “You two really are cute. Craig, do you remember that special night?” The uncle said. Craig didn’t want to remember it. He wanted to leave and run away but Katie’s ankle was hurt. “You kept screaming and begging me to stop but I wouldn’t. You looked so cute.”
“Shut up!” Craig glares at the man. “You’re a sicko!” Craig stood up and wanted to hit his uncle. This man that hurt his mother, his sister, and him in the past.
“Craig, calling me a sicko. I really cared about you. I was having a rough time. When you were born I was dating a woman named ‘Angelica’. I didn’t want to be with her. I didn’t love her. My parents were unaware of my true desires. They thought that I was truly in love with Angelica. They thought that I was going to marry her. But in reality when I first laid eyes on you. I knew that you were the one. And then when your sister came along, well she was really cute too. Your mother was beautiful as well. Not your father. My brother was rather ugly and I never was attracted to him.”
“I am tired of hearing this nonsense!” Craig felt disgusted. He wanted to vomit just hearing his uncle ramble. Craig got his courage and punched his uncle in the face. His uncle fell backwards. “I HATE YOU! YOU TRIED TO RUIN MY LIFE! MY SISTER’S LIFE! AND MY MOTHER’S! YOU EVEN TRIED TO RUIN MY FATHER’S LIFE! YOU SICK BASTARD!” Craig yelled. Craig’s uncle held his face where Craig punched him.
“You really feel that way?” He asks Craig and pulled a gun out. “I stole this recently in case. I think I am going to need it.”
“Craig! Your uncle really is insane!” Katie felt scared.
Huntley was worried about Craig. He went trying to look for him. He happen to came across a car. The car happened to look familiar. “That looks like the car that the police described to me that was stolen. Possibly stolen from my crazy brother.” Huntley thought to himself. Huntley seen the woods that happened to be nearby. “It is possible.” Huntley pulled out his cell phone and decided to call the police.
Craig screamed loudly and Huntley could recognize the voice. “That’s Craig!” Huntley thought as soon as he got off the phone with the police. In the woods, Craig’s uncle had pushed him down and was holding a gun to him.
“Why don’t you do as I say? We can have fun like before.” His uncle said and laughed.
“Leave him alone!” Katie yelled at the man.
“Shut up!” The man glares at her.
“Just stop it!” Craig tried to push him off of him but couldn’t.
“You don’t want me to pull the trigger. Do you?”
“Anything is better than you touching me!” Craig wanted his uncle to get away from him. He didn’t want to be near him. At all. Huntley wanted to dash in the woods. He didn’t want Craig to be hurt. The police were on their way, but he didn’t want to sit and wait for them.
Katie was sitting up. Her ankle was hurting. She wanted to help Craig out. But she wasn’t sure how could she. Not with her sore ankle. She tried to stand but it hurt. “I can’t sit here!” Katie thought to herself. Her ankle was in pain as she tried to stand. She couldn’t. She fell back down to the ground. Craig kicked his uncle between the legs causing him to drop the gun. He got off of Craig. Craig quickly got up and ran over to Katie.
“Craig?” She looked at him.
“Damn!” Craig’s uncle yelled. He was glaring. Huntley seen them. He was surprised to see that his uncle was there. Craig and Katie were also there.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” Huntley was angry with his brother.
“Hey there. Is your family happy together again?” Craig’s uncle asked with a smile upon his face.
“Shut the hell up! Craig, get Katie away from here! You both!” Huntley didn’t want his brother touching Craig ever again. He didn’t even want him to touch Katie. Craig’s girlfriend. Craig did his best to help Katie get on his back and ran off with her. He was worried about his father, but he didn’t want to be near his uncle anymore. He didn’t like him. The police showed up and seen Craig and Katie when they got out of the woods.
“He’s in the woods!” Craig tells the police and sits Katie down. It was a good thing that the police were able to come in time. They went charging in the woods to look for Craig’s uncle.
“I hope he gets caught.” Katie tells Craig. He nods in agreement.
“Is your ankle alright?” Craig asks her.
“I think it’s just twisted or maybe sprain.” Katie replied. “I am going to have to stay off of it for a bit.” Katie looks down. “I am sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing?” Craig asked.
“Your uncle… He stopped by when I was walking to see you. I thought… I thought he was just a friend of your father’s I didn’t know he was actually your uncle. And I was supposed to show him where you all lived but instead of took a different road which lead here. And it really scared me.”
“Katie that’s not your fault.” Craig said and she looks at him.
“I should have never went in the car with him. If I didn’t my ankle wouldn’t be like this. Craig probably wouldn’t have seen his uncle.” Katie thought to herself feeling bad. The police was able to find the man and had gotten him. They handcuffed him and put them in the back of one of the police cars. Huntley was standing by Katie and Craig. Watching the police just leave.
“Are you alright? They should have stayed to ask about you two. They might end up calling back for questions.”
“Dad, I don’t ever want to see him ever again.” Craig said.
“I am sorry for letting him ever stay with us in the past.”
“That was the past, dad.”
Max was outside on the porch of the home he was staying at. His parents’ home. “So Madison is my cousin? That was something I didn’t expect actually. Her mother is my mom’s older sister.” Max thought to himself. A car stopped by the house. It was Max’s grandpa. Max wanted to get up and run into the house.
He rolled the car window down. “Hey my Maxi, Maxi pad.” Nelson said to his grandson. “Are you doing alright?”
“Leave me alone.” Max responds and stood up. Nelson got out of his car.
“Hey! Don’t you dare get an attitude with me! I want you to get in my car now! You’re coming home with me!”
“You can’t make me! My parents are winning anyways.” Max stuck his tongue out to his grandpa. Max was about to open the door but the front door came open. It was Madison at the door.
“Who is that old fart?” Madison asks Max and he laughed a little.
“Who is that little brat?!” Nelson glares.
“He seems like a mean grouchy old man. Who is that?” Madison asks Max.
“My grandpa. Let’s go inside.” Max went into the house with Madison and locks the door.
“HEY! MAX! MAXI PAD!” Nelson yelled but they already went inside.
“Is something the matter?” Davina asks as she went into the living room.
“Grandpa is outside. Just don’t open the door.” Max tells his mom. Davina looked as if she was going to worry.
“Don’t worry about that old man.” Madison walks over to Davina. “Are you really Max’s mother? You look so young! You don’t look like you would be an adult.” Madison was surprised.
“I…I…” Davina wasn’t sure how to respond.
Nelson was furious that Max went into the house instead of going with him in his car. “How dare my son and that bitch! Those two got Max to turn against me!” Nelson got into his car and drove away.
Craig went with Katie to his home. It was the closest. She was sitting on the sofa with her leg propped up. She had ice on it and had it wrapped in a bandage with the help of Benita. “I am so sorry about this.” Katie apologized to Craig’s mother.
“It’s alright.” She tells her and stood up after she finished bandaging Katie’s ankle. “You should rest that. I will leave a message on your parents’ phone and tell them what had happened.” Benita left the living room. Craig was sitting on the sofa next to Katie.
“Katie, I am… I didn’t…” Craig looks down.
“I am fine.” Katie tells Craig. “Nothing is broken so don’t worry too much.”
“Katie, I really…I…” Craig began to blush. Sabrina came into the living room.
“What happened to you?” Sabrina asks Katie.
“I fell. I am alright now.” Katie tells Sabrina. It was decided to keep it a secret from Sabrina about Huntley’s brother breaking out of prison. No one wanted to get Sabrina scared or worried.
“Really? You fell? That’s probably why she didn’t come on time.” Sabrina thought.
“That’s right.” Craig lies and just agreed with Sabrina.
“That makes sense.” Sabrina left the living room. Katie stares at Craig.
“Sabrina will be really scared won’t she if she knew the truth.”
“Don’t tell her. She will have nightmares. I don’t want to scare her.” Craig said to Katie.
“Craig, don’t you have nightmares? Don’t you have nightmares from what your uncle did…?” Katie asks. Craig looks down. It was true. Some nights he did have bad dreams and honestly he wished he could erase it from his memory.
“I do. I sometimes do have nightmares. I hate it too. I try to play off being tough or it not happening to me because I don’t want to worry anyone.” Craig admits.
“Craig, you’re really…” Katie blushes. “I…I… I love you.”
“I… I love you too.” Craig nervously replies. They both were blushing at each other. “I promise I won’t let my uncle touch you.”
“I won’t let him touch you either!”
