After being in the café, Ronnie and Lacy left and went walking outside in the town again. While they were walking a girl was running and bumps into Ronnie. She fell to the floor. Ronnie turned around and looked at her. It was a little girl with brown hair. She had blue eyes and wore a pink plaid skirt. She looked up at him. Another girl came running over. She had blond hair, green eyes, and wore a headband. She had on a pair of jeans.
“Madison! I told you not to start running.” The girl said and was helping her friend Madison off the ground.
“I’m sorry, Katie.” Madison said.
“Can we just go?” Lacy whispers to Ronnie.
“Hold on.” Ronnie whispers back. He stared at both the girls. “Are you okay?” Ronnie asked Madison. She stared at him and blushes.
“I…I uh…” She didn’t know how to respond.
“You aren’t hurt are you?” Ronnie asked her. Madison shook her head.
“No. I’m not!” She answers.
“Good.” Ronnie said and walks away. Lacy followed him.
“I…I think I’m in love!” Madison thinks in her head blushing as she stared at Ronnie who was walking away.
“Are you okay?” Katie asked Madison.
“I will be.” She said and was following Ronnie and Lacy.
“Why are you following those two?” Katie asked also following Madison.
“Because, I want to know his name.” Madison answers. She felt like she was in love at first sight. She felt like she seen this boy before. But from where? Was it school? Madison was in the 6th grade. The school she goes to has 6th-12th grade. It was a different type of school. There was a school for the younger kids between K-5th grade. But 6th grade and up to 12th grade was in the same building.
“You have a crush on that dude” Katie asked and grabs a hold of Madison. Stopping her from walking any further.
“Well, you have a crush on that Robert guy you said that was in your class that doesn’t even notice you!” Madison glares at Katie.
“I…” Katie blushes. It was true. She shared classes with Robert and had a crush on him, but never had the courage to ask him out. He didn’t even notice her in school. She was like a nobody to him.
“Hey wait… did you ever notice that Robert guy looks kind of like that guy I just bumped into?” Madison asked her friend.
“Yeah… You’re right.” Katie agrees.
Lacy and Ronnie were walking together still. “It’s going to get cold soon.” Ronnie said to break the silence.
“Halloween is coming up soon. Are you going to dress up?” Lacy asked.
“Me? Nah. I don’t feel like I am into Halloween.” Ronnie replies. Lacy blushes a little and looks the other way. “Are you going to?”
“I don’t think I can.” Lacy responds.
“Let’s go in there.” Ronnie points at a music store. At home Robert felt angry still, but he tried to play it off. He went into the kitchen and was drinking a beer. Bryan came into the kitchen.
“Are you okay? Should you be drinking that?” Bryan asked.
“Leave me alone. You don’t drink it.” Robert rudely responds. He felt like he couldn’t find a source to calm down his anger. “Why am I so mad at Ronnie?” Robert wondered. “Why do I feel jealous? No! I am not jealous! Love doesn’t exist!” Robert felt like he wasn’t sure what to believe anymore. This feeling he was having was something he never felt before. Ever.
Two hours have gone by. Ronnie and Lacy had come home. Abbilynn and Brice were also home. Robert had gone to talk to Lacy who was in the attic alone. Sitting there looking out the window. “Why did you go with Ronnie out today? On a date?” Robert asks her.
“Was I not allowed to?” Lacy asked confused a little. She looked over at Robert. He was glaring at her. She smiles and laughed a little. “You don’t own me. You know that right?”
“Shut up. Stop laughing.” Robert sounded mad. He was mad, and he wasn’t sure why he was taking it out of Lacy now.
“Robert, are you jealous?” Lacy asked and laughed again. Robert didn’t like the way Lacy was speaking to him. He walks over to her and gets down on the floor by her. “What are you going to do about it?”
“This.” Robert pushes her down on the floor and climbs on her. He was holding her down. Lacy felt her heart beating fast. Her face was red. Robert’s heart was beating fast. His face was also red. “She looks so…” Robert thought to himself. He couldn’t help put bring his face close to hers.
“R…Robert…” Lacy closes her eyes tight and then opened them. “I hate you.”
“I hate you too.” Robert said and pressed his lips against Lacy’s.
“He’s kissing me…” Lacy thought to herself. She kisses back. Robert enjoyed it. Lacy was liking it. They both kept kissing each other. They felt like they didn’t want to part lips. When they did they both were trying to catch their breaths. Robert got off of her. Lacy sits up. “W-Why did you…Why did you?” Lacy felt like she couldn’t ask. She felt nervous.
“I don’t know.” Robert answers. Lacy enjoyed the kisses.
“I kissed Ronnie and Robert… But I….” Lacy touches her face. “This isn’t right.” Robert couldn’t believe what him and Lacy done. He quickly got up and left the attic. Not even looking at her anymore. “I kissed Ronnie and then Robert. Why… Why did I?” Lacy asked herself. “Do I like them both?” She wondered.
Robert went to his bedroom. Closing the door behind him. His face was red as he looked down at the floor. “Why did I do that?”
It was the next day. Bright and was the afternoon. Robert, Ronnie, Lacy, Max, and Craig were all sitting together at lunch eating. A girl came over. It was Katie. “Hey, aren’t you that girl from yesterday?” Ronnie asked noticing her. Lacy also noticed.
“Uhh… Yes. Can I sit by you all?” She asked and went ahead and sat down.
“Well, you foxy lady. What’s your number?” Max flirts with Katie already.
“Uhh… what?” Katie asked confused.
“He’s a pervert. Don’t let that scare you off. What’s your name?” Craig ask Katie.
“Katie.” She replies and blushes as she looked over at Robert. Robert was being quiet to Lacy all day. Ronnie was sitting next to Robert with Lacy on the other side of him. Max and Craig were sitting together across from the others. Katie was happening to sit by Max.
“Katie is a fine name for a fine girl like you.” Max winks.
“Okay, stop it. Please.” Katie said feeling grossed out. She kept taking glances at Robert. “I really want to talk to him.” Katie thought to herself. She only decided to sit at the table to get close to Robert. To finally talk to him. She wanted to be brave, but now she’s getting shy and couldn’t think of anything to talk to him about.
“Let me introduce everyone to you.” Craig said. “I’m Craig, this is Max, that’s Lacy, Robert, and Ronnie.” Craig said as he pointed at each of them.
“Oh…” Katie blushes. Ronnie looked at Lacy.
“Do you like Three Days Grace? I have an album you can listen to if you do.” Ronnie asks her.
“Yes. I do like that band.” Lacy responds.
“Awesome. I’ll let you borrow it one day.” Ronnie said.
“So, Katie. How old are you?” Max asked flirting still with Katie.
“I’m 14.” She answers.
“Max, stop flirting with her. You need to stop hitting on girls so much.” Craig says to his best friend.
“I need a girlfriend. You always get so lucky and have dates. Why can I?” Max asked.
“Not gifted I suppose.” Craig responds. Max tries to hit him but he dodges. Max looked over at Lacy.
“Are you dating any of these two you’re sitting by?” Max asked. Lacy shook her head. “Then date me! Come on, sweetheart.” Max winks at her.
“No. You’re not my type.” Lacy flats out and says it. “I don’t like pushy guys. I don’t like guys who look like you and act like you. Now leave me alone.”
“That was harsh.” Craig laughed. Max felt humiliated and just went to eating his food. Through the whole lunch time, Katie didn’t have courage to talk to Robert. After lunch, Katie was getting her text book ready for her next class. Madison had a locker under her and was going through her locker.
“I couldn’t even talk to him at lunch.” Katie said looking down.
“You talking about Robert?” Madison asked. She nods. “That’s too bad. Maybe it’s not meant to be.”
“I want to talk to him. I do.” Katie blushes. “But he doesn’t seem interested in me. But hey, I saw that guy we saw yesterday. That girl too. The guy’s name is ‘Ronnie’ the girl’s is ‘Lacy’.” Katie tells Madison.
“Do I care what the girl’s name was? But the guy’s name is Ronnie?” Madison blushes. “That’s a good name.” Madison mumbles to herself.
“You know, I saw that girl sitting by that Ronnie guy. That might be her boyfriend. We did see them out together yesterday. Oh wait… no. I think I remember another guy name ‘Max’ that asked her if she was dating either of them and she said no.”
“That’s perfect!” Madison smiles. “Then you can get Robert and I can date Ronnie! Simple as that!”
“But what if they both don’t like us?” Katie asks.
“Nonsense. We’re pretty.” Madison said and hurry up and got her math book. “See ya!” She ran off. Katie looked down.
“But… I am not so sure. I do like Robert. But…” Katie thought to herself feeling upset about the idea that he wouldn’t even talk to her when she sat at the table with him.
It was after school, everyone was either taking a bus, getting a ride home, or walking home. Robert, Ronnie, Lacy, Bryan, Craig, and Max were walking home. Katie and Madison were getting a ride home from Madison’s uncle. They happen to see them all walking together.
“Stop the car!” Madison said to her uncle.
“I can’t just do that.” The uncle replies.
“Do it! I want out!” Madison said already opening the door. Her uncle had no choice but to stop the car. Madison and Katie got out and quickly made their way to the others. “Hello!” Madison said with a cherry smile.
“Who are you?” Bryan asked her.
“I’m Madison.” She answered truthfully. She walks over to Ronnie. “You Ronnie?” She asked.
“Yeah, why?” Ronnie asks her confused on why she was holding onto his arm.
“Walking home?” She asked.
“Yes.” Ronnie answers. Lacy glares as she saw Madison holding onto Ronnie’s arm. Robert was being quiet. Katie walks over to Robert.
“Uh… hi.” Katie shyly says to Robert. He didn’t say anything to her. Katie wasn’t even sure if this was a good idea.
