Ronnie caught Robert and Lacy kissing each other in the kitchen. In fact, he heard everything. Heard about her breaking up with Craig, but now sees her kissing Robert. He felt heartbroken. He didn’t say anything and walks away and went outside. He sits down and starts to smoke.
“Now I am starting to think love don’t exist.” Ronnie sighs. “I really like Lacy, but why does it seem like she likes Robert more than me? That’s what I feel like.” Ronnie felt upset. He really did like Lacy, but he felt like she liked Robert more. The way she showed him more affection, not to mention she slept with him more than Ronnie. She even slept with Robert first. Ronnie puts his cigarette out and goes back inside. He puts his coat on and leaves.
Max was sitting on the sofa in his parents’ apartment. “Why did you come over? Are you doing alright?” Harlan asks his son and sits down in a chair next to the sofa.
“I guess. I just had a fight with grandpa.” Max answered.
“A fight? Why?” Harlan asked concerned.
“Because, he knows about you and mom wanting to take me back. He told me that and was so mad and I got mad at him for being mad. Sorry it’s confusing.”
“It’s alright.” Harlan reassures his son.
“Where’s mom?” Max asked noticing he didn’t see his mother around.
“Your mother took a taxi to go to the doctors. She wouldn’t let me take her. Instead, I am staying home watching the kids. Your siblings Louie and Sherry.” Harlan tells his son.
“Isn’t this place too small to take me here?” Max asked noticing. “This looks like a two bedroom and Sherry and Louie shouldn’t be sharing a room.” Max said.
“We know, your mother and I have saved enough money to move. And when we move, that’s when we want you to come live with us.”
“Oh, I wish grandpa wouldn’t be so angry. Why is he?” Max asked.
“Well, I think it’s because he lost love at a young age. He was with a girl got her pregnant when they both were young. I did the same thing, but I stayed with Davina and kept her. Davina is your mom. I met her when she was so young. She used to follow me around all the time.”
“So what were you, her babysitter?” Max asked confused and a little grossed out.
“You know it! I was 13 when I met her. She was about 8. At the time I didn’t think anything much about her. Maybe more like a little sister.”
“Alright then how was I born and how are you two together now?” Max asks.
“You really want me to explain that? You know that your mother was young when she had you. I was young too.”
“Your dad was mad that you had me with mom and mad that you chose to stay with mom. Why did it make him so angry?”
“My guess is because he’s jealous?” Harlan laughed. “I remember when your mom turned 12, she told me she wanted to be my girlfriend. I never thought anything of it. I loved her company, but never really thought dirty of her.”
“Didn’t my mom get pregnant when she was 12?” Max asked. Harlan nods.
“That happened when I was drunk actually, but I actually was in love with your mom but wanted to keep denying it. But I never thought about having sex with her.”
“Uhh…” Max felt uncomfortable hearing that.
Ronnie was walking around outside. It was cold. “I feel so stupid for liking Lacy, but I can’t help it.” Ronnie thought to himself. He seen a guy outside. It was Tj, a guy from high school that he heard news about. He sold cigarettes to middle schoolers and even high schoolers. Other things too. Ronnie went over to him. Tj had another guy with him.
“You go to my school?” Tj asked.
“Yes.” Ronnie answered honestly.
“Do you need something? I usually don’t work outside of schools.”
“I heard you sell things, what kind of stuff?” Ronnie asked.
“I have loads.” Tj opened his coat to show lots of things he had in his pockets.
“Tj sells all the best stuff, from cigarettes, tobacco, lighters , to condoms.” The guy said that was with Tj.
“Kevin is telling the truth. I do sell all those and even more. Birth control and even pregnancy tests.” Tj tells Ronnie.
“How did you get all that stuff to sell it?” Ronnie asked confused. He was also surprised that Tj had all that and was getting away with selling it.
“I don’t have time to explain, now what do you need?” Tj asked. Ronnie ended up buying cigarettes off Tj and chewing tobacco.
Max was still with his dad. “Do you think grandpa is going to ground me for coming here?” Max asked.
“Honestly, he shouldn’t. You have a right to see your parents. Sorry your mom isn’t here though. I would of thought she would be back by now though, she has been gone for a while.”
“Maybe you should go look for her? I might need to head back anyways. I don’t want grandpa any more mad at me then he already is.” Max said standing up. Sherry came in the living room.
“Hey! You here?” She asked with a smile. Max smiles a little at her.
“I have to go.” Max tells her. Sherry didn’t even know Max was there until now, she was busy in her bedroom playing with her dolls. Louie didn’t bother coming out as he was busy doing his homework.
It was in the evening, Brice had made dinner and was sitting at the table eating. Abbilynn was with him along with Bryan and James.
“Where is Robert, Ronnie, and Lacy?” Bryan asked his dad.
“Your brother Robert said he was staying in his bedroom and will eat later. Said he had a headache. I am not sure where Ronnie and Lacy is.” Brice responds.
“Lacy left a note for me to get and read saying she’ll be out and come home a little after dinner.” Abbilynn responds.
“I hope Ronnie is okay.” Bryan says and then took a bite of his food.
“Oh, mother I got a 100% on my math test that I recently did.” James tells Abbilynn.
“That’s really good, you really are smart.” Abbilynn smiles at her son.
“Indeed, I never gotten a bad score since I was 8. I got a 98%.”
“That’s not bad really.” Bryan said to James, but he still seemed to think it was bad. In reality, Lacy lied. She didn’t go out. She was in Robert’s bedroom. Robert was in there with her. They didn’t want no one knowing what they both were doing. Robert had some heavy metal music playing to drown out any sounds. He didn’t want to be caught with Lacy. If they were caught, they would get into big trouble, and possibly will make Lacy have to leave.
“Dammit! You stupid bitch!” Robert said and pulled Lacy’s hair. She moaned a little.
“Fuck! Go faster dammit!” Lacy demanded. Robert had Lacy bent over his bed. They both were naked. He was behind her. Lacy was taking Robert in a whole different way than she ever did before.
“Shut up! You want me to stick this in your ass instead?! You’re already in a good position!” Robert rudely said to Lacy.
“Fuck you! You better not get me pregnant! You dumb ass!” Robert groaned a little. He didn’t even care if Lacy was yelling at him, he enjoyed it for some reason. Robert pulled out and Lacy was confused on what Robert was doing. He turned her over and looked at her. Both their faces were red. “What the hell are you doing?” Lacy asked him. Robert grabs her by her arm and swings her to the wall. “What the hell?!” Robert goes over to her and lifts her up. Lacy was surprised .
“Don’t worry, I am not quitting yet.” Robert slides himself into Lacy again. He decided to do a different sex position with her. One that he saw before in one of his dad’s porno tapes. Lacy was moaning. Robert laughed a little. “Keep moaning you little bitch!”
“R-Robert!” Lacy felt like she was about to reach her peak. “I-I I love you!” Lacy blurts out as she started to have an orgasm. Robert was in shock hearing that, but at the same time he started to have reach his maximum. Lacy felt Robert’s stuff going into her. Everything was silent and Robert pulled out and let’s Lacy down. She slides right to the floor. Her back was against the wall. She was still sensitive because of her orgasm, but she couldn’t believe what she had said. “Did I daydream I said that?” Lacy was hoping as she thought to herself. Robert fell to the floor too.
Downstairs, everyone was eating normally. “Why is Robert playing music?” Bryan asked his dad.
“I guess that’s his way to get rid of a headache?” Brice guessed. He honestly didn’t know much why Robert did weird things.
“So, Abbilynn, have you been able to save any money?”
“I have a little. Sorry I am not really saving much. It’s just so hard.” Abbilynn responds.
“I understand.” Brice answered. After dinner, Brice was cleaning dishes. Bryan went to watch cartoons in the living room. James was in Bryan’s bedroom, the room they were sharing for the moment. James was working on more work for extra credit in school. Abbilynn hands Brice some more dishes that were on the table. “Thanks.”
“It’s so funny, isn’t it?” Abbilynn asks.
“What do you mean?” Brice asked.
“We knew each other growing up in school. I remember you always wanted that popular girl, Peggy was it? You married her but now you two are divorced or going to be?” Abbiylnn asked.
“Yeah, so who’s Lacy’s and James’ father? I know it’s not that Steven guy. He was your ex boyfriend.”
“Ricky. Remember him? Yeah that was my boyfriend in high school. I had Lacy and James with him. I am still married to that bastard and he left me for another woman. Didn’t even give me divorce papers.”
“Why don’t you give him divorce papers then?” Brice asked. Abbilynn looks down.
“It’s hard… Hard when I still…” Abbilynn still loved Ricky even though he had ran off and separated from her.
“I understand, you miss him, don’t you? I can’t blame you though. I miss Peggy, but… I really think our relationship is over. She cheated on me so many different times in our marriage, I ended up cheating on her too. I am not really a good husband am I?” Brice laughed a little.
“It’s funny. Our kids are like hanging together like we did when we were younger. But… you were just my friend. You were friends with Ricky too. What happened?”
“I don’t know, honestly.” Brice laughed again.
“I don’t know if we should tell the kids we know each other really.”
“So, are you thinking about dating again?” Brice asks.
“After that Steven incident? I don’t know.” Brice turned the sink water off as he was finished cleaning dishes. He looks at Abbilynn.
“Why don’t we go out? We both had a spouse that cheated. My divorce is about to be finalized anyways.” Brice tells Abbilynn. She stares at him confused.
“Are you sure?” She wasn’t sure why Brice wanted to ask her out. She never really thought of him that way before, but she didn’t want to be rude. “I can give him a chance I guess.” Abbilynn thinks to herself.
“Well?” Brice asks.
“Sure, want to go out tomorrow?” She asked. He laughed.
“Yeah, I’m off. Are you?”
“I am.” Abbiylnn responds.
