“Hey! You’re cheating!” Ronnie snaps at Robert. He believed his brother was cheating on the game that they both were playing. They were playing against each other.
“I am not cheating! How can I be?” Robert asked. “You’re just a sore loser!”
“I am not!” Ronnie yells at Robert.
“Don’t start acting up you two.” Lacy said butting in between both of them. She didn’t want to hear them argue over a video game.
Alana was walking home. “Lacy suggested I talk to Max. I was thinking about it… But I don’t think… I don’t think I want to.” Alana thought to herself. “Maybe I will just talk to him on the phone when I go home…” Alana made it home. When she got there a maid was there to greet her. She heard yelling.
“Sorry, um… your father… and well his girlfriend.” The maid wasn’t sure how to tell Alana.
“They’re fighting?” Alana asks. The maid nods. Alana walked into the hall. She heard the yelling coming her father’s office room. It was kind of like a study room.
“IT’S YOUR FAULT THAT TJ IS IN THE HOSPITAL NOW! YOU KEPT LETTING HIM DO THAT SHIT!” Cliff yelled at Calluna.
“MY FAULT?! IT’S YOUR FAULT FOR MAKING ME RAISE HIM AND LIONEL ALL ON MY OWN! YOU COULD’VE TOLD YOUR PARENTS ‘NO’ BUT INSTEAD YOU MARRIED THAT WHORE AND HAD THAT DAUGHTER WITH HER!”
“Calluna doesn’t like me?” Alana thought to herself. She felt hurt hearing that coming from Calluna.
“I WAS SICK! I WASN’T IN MY RIGHT MIND AND DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A WEDDING! I WAS JUST FORCED TO SIGN THOSE DAMN PAPERS! THAT DAMN BITCH CAME ON ME WHEN I WAS TRYING TO REST! YOU THINK I REALLY WANTED TO FUCK HER?!” Cliff was angry. He was furious with Calluna because she didn’t stop Tj from doing bad things and now because of this, Tj was in the hospital.
“WHATEVER! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT! I HAD TO RAISE THOSE TWO ON MY OWN! MY MOTHER HAD A HARD TIME HELPING ME! YOU ONLY PAID A LITTLE MONEY AND NEVER SPENT TIME WITH YOUR OWN SONS! YOU WERE TOO BUSY CARING FOR YOUR SLUT’S DAUGHTER!”
“W…What?” Alana felt upset. She had tears running down her face. Hearing both of them yelling. Calluna was screaming and she knew apart of the fight had to do with her. Alana was staring straight at Cliff and Calluna. Her father and his girlfriend. Cliff noticed that Alana was there at the doorway.
“Alana!” Cliff said. “It’s not like that!” Cliff knew that Alana was upset. She ran off. She ran out of the house. The maid saw her leave and noticed Cliff came into the main entrance hall. “Did Alana run away?!” He asked the maid.
“She just ran out the door!” The maid replied. Cliff felt worried about his daughter. Alana felt like she was upset .She felt like it was her fault that her dad was fighting with his girlfriend. She stopped running and stood there. She had tears that just kept running down her face.
“It’s all my fault… All my fault…” Alana said.
“What are you doing?” A familiar voice asked. Alana turned around and happened to see Lionel. He was her older half brother. He seemed to do bad things just like Tj did. Alana just stared at him. He noticed that she was crying. “Are those two morons at it again?” He asked.
“I-It’s my… fault… It’s my fault…” Alana tells him.
“What’s your fault?” Lionel asked.
“Your mom… She said that daddy should’ve paid more attention to you but instead he was worried about his… his… well… my mom’s baby. Me. He was too worried about me and taking care of me… That’s why… Why you both…” Alana felt like she had a hard time explaining but did her best through tears. Lionel touched her head.
“Alana, whatever mom says don’t listen to her.”
“Huh?” Alana looked up at her older brother.
“My mom drinks a lot and when she’s drunk she tends to yell like she’s nuts. I wouldn’t worry too much about her drunk self. She can be a bitch at times though.”
“But… It’s my fault… If my daddy didn’t marry my mom and had me… you and Tj… You and Tj would of grew up good… with daddy.” Alana said. She felt depressed.
“You really think this is your fault? It’s not. If anyone’s to blame it’s dad, but you know we all can blame that slut. Your mother. Nothing is your fault.” Lionel tells her. Alana hugs Lionel. He was surprised that she hugged him.
“I am glad that things are fine now.” Max thought to himself and came out of a store. He picked up a few things that his mother needed for dinner. Max happened to see Alana hugging Lionel. Just staring at her hugging him put a different feeling in him. He felt jealous. He also felt angry. He walks over to the both of them and grabs Alana.
“Eh?!” Alana was surprised.
“What the hell are you doing?!” Max asked her using his free hand to hold on to her arm.
“She was just giving me a hug. Aren’t you jealous?” Lionel smiles devilishly.
“Alana! Who are you hugging?!”
“Max! It’s not what you think! This is Lionel! Don’t you remember?!” Alana tries to get Max to calm down.
“Wait… what?” Max lets go of Alana’s arm. He never actually paid much attention to Lionel before. He didn’t bother to care because when he came over Alana’s home, he was only interested in her.
“You really think Alana would cheat on you?” Lionel asked. “Why would she want to cheat on you for me? I am her half brother. That would be incest.” Lionel started to laugh. Max started to feel embarrassed.
“I…I… am sorry…” Max apologized.
“It’s okay. I am surprised that you got jealous like that…” Alana blushes. She felt embarrassed a little about it, but she liked the feeling that Max likes her.
“I think you should talk to Alana. She’s been upset because of my damn mother being drunk and fighting with our dad and shit. I need to go home so I can straighten them both out. I just got Paige to stop running her damn mouth.”
“There’s something wrong with you?” Max asked Alana. She looked down.
“See ya.” Lionel walks away.
“Tell me what’s wrong.” Max said to her. Alana didn’t want to bother Max with her problems. She didn’t want to trouble him with her worries.
“It’s nothing.” Alana lies.
“Alana, you can tell me. Hey, let’s go back to my place. You can talk to me. That’s what boyfriends and girlfriends do.” Max said to her. She followed him as he was walking home.
“Is everything going okay with your family?” Alana asks.
“So far. I am really pissed off at my grandpa. Lying to me about my mother and father. I am also angry with him for hating my mother. My mother is really nice.”
“Your mother looks young, but it’s probably because she was so young when she had you. Why does she still dress young?” Alana asked.
“I don’t know. It’s doesn’t bother me. I don’t care what she wears. I just like living with her. She’s so nice. I don’t know why my grandpa hates her so much.” Max felt confused about his grandpa. He was still angry with him for his lies. He didn’t even understand how he could hate his mother. Max thought his mother was very nice and sweet. She never seemed to get angry really and was a good cook. He liked the dinner she made.
Alana and Max made it to the house. When they got inside, Alana saw Louie watching TV on the sofa in the living room. Max walks in and Alana followed after him. “Where’s everyone?” Max asked Louie.
“Sherry is taking a nap. Mom is in the kitchen, and if you forgot dad being at work you’re an idiot.” Louie responds. Max didn’t say anything and went straight to the kitchen. Alana followed.
“Max! You’re back. That’s good. Just put everything on the table.” Davina tells her son. She then noticed that Alana was there. “Are you staying for dinner? There will be plenty.”
“I…” Alana wasn’t sure how to respond.
“She will be.” Max said and takes Alana’s hand and leaves the kitchen with her. Max takes her to his and Louie’s bedroom.
“You don’t speak much to your brother do you?” Alana asked.
“Not really. He mostly doesn’t talk to anyone.” Max answers and shuts the bedroom door. He sat down on the bed. “Sit by me. Let’s talk.” Alana sat down by Max. “Tell me what’s wrong.” Alana looked down.
“I don’t want to bother you…”
“Tell me.” Max wanted to know what all was going on.
“I… I don’t know. It… Lionel told me that his mom was drunk and not to pay attention to her. It’s really not a big deal.” Alana said.
“It is if it made you upset.” Max touches her face. Alana blushes at him.
“Just being near him… He makes me feel…” Alana stared at him. She was staring right into his eyes. He was looking back at her. They both were silent as they stared at each other.
Lacy was watching Robert and Ronnie play a video game. The two of them seemed to be getting along now and were enjoying themselves. Rick and Abbilynn came into the house.
“I don’t know what to do with that girl.” Rick said sounding like he was upset about something. Lacy turned at stared at her two parents.
“You have to pick her up. I am not. Why doesn’t her mom pick her up?” Abbilynn asked.
“Because, she made her dumb plans to go out of town when she thought Peg was going to summer camp. I can’t believe she thought helping out meant she was allowed to screw guys. Man.” Rick said feeling angry with Peg. “She’s probably will stay here for a few nights I don’t know if she can go home.”
“I really don’t know how I feel about that.” Abbilynn left the living room. Lacy didn’t like the sound of Peg staying there. She didn’t want her nowhere near her. She felt a strong dislike for Peg. Rick went into the kitchen.
“I hope that Peg really doesn’t stay here.” Lacy said. Robert stared at her and paused the game.
“What?” Robert wasn’t even paying attention to what Lacy’s parents were saying.
“My parents! They were talking about Peg getting in trouble for having sex with guys at camp and now she has to leave.”
“So, she got in trouble for spreading her legs for all the guys at camp?” Ronnie asked and started to laugh. “She’s one crazy chick.” Ronnie thought Peg was insane.
“She sounds like a big slut.” Robert chuckled a little.
“This is serious! I don’t want her here! She will get on my nerves!”
“Why don’t her stupid mom take her? Is she that lazy to watch her?” Robert asks.
“She’s out of town because she decided to spoil herself with a vacation. Just my luck.” Lacy felt angry.
