Robert left with Katie out of his house. He was right by the front door. Staring at her. She was staring back at him.
“Are we on for tomorrow evening?” Katie asks.
“No.”
“How about the day after?” Katie asks. Robert shook his head. “W-Why not?”
“Because, Katie. I don’t want to date you no more.”
“Why not?” Katie asks looking upset. She knew this day would come, but not soon. She didn’t want it to happen right on Valentine’s Day.
“You already know I don’t love you. I don’t even know if I like you.” Hearing that made tears fall from Katie’s eyes. “Look, I don’t think this should go on any longer. I don’t want to be putting you on anymore.”
“Robert…” Katie looks down. She felt so heartbroken. She didn’t know why she thought Robert would change his mind and fall in love with her. But this wasn’t the case. Katie had the thought of Robert not really liking her deep in her mind. She knew this was to happen. She didn’t want it to, but it now was. She felt depressed about it.
“I am not the guy that you’re supposed to be with. Now go.” Robert said and went back into his house. Katie had more tears falling from her face. She felt upset, embarrassed, and heartbroken.
“Robert is so… so cold hearted.” Katie ran away from the house. She had to get out of there. She wanted to get away. She just wanted to get away from it all. She ran as fast as she could until she bumped into someone. She almost fell backwards but that person grabbed her and made sure she didn’t.
“Are you okay?” A familiar voice asks. Katie looks at the person. It was Craig. He had a concern look on his face.
“C-Craig?” She was surprised to see him. She started to dry her tears.
“You were crying? Why?” Craig asks her.
“I guess I am the fool. I thought Robert would change his mind and would like me. I thought that he would, but I was such a fool.” Tears just kept coming down Katie’s face. She couldn’t stop them. “Today, for Valentine’s Day he broke up with me. I should’ve… I should’ve broke up with him sooner like you told me. But… But… I… I thought that he would change his mind… I thought maybe I could get him to love me. I know now that’s impossible. That’s something that you cannot do.” Katie says. Craig felt bad for Katie. He brought her over towards him and hugs her.
“It’s okay, Katie. It’s alright.” Craig says calmly to her. Hearing those words made her feel a little bit better, but she was still sad. She cried on Craig. “Katie, I am your friend, and I care for you.”
“You’re my friend?” Katie asks.
“I might as well, you seem like a nice girl. I don’t know why Robert doesn’t like you.”
“I guess because I am annoying.” Katie says.
“I don’t think that of you.” Craig said. Katie looks up at him. She was blushing with tears still in her eyes. “We should hang more often together. Want to go get something to eat?” Craig asks her.
“S-Sure.” Katie replies and dries her tears. She wasn’t sure what was going on, but felt a little bit better knowing Craig wanted to cheer her up. Madison and Alana were walking together. They had a friend’s day out together and had gotten ice cream.
“Ice cream is good in summer, but it’s also good in winter!” Madison smiles. She had cotton candy ice cream.
“I agree.” Alana replies and then happen to notice Katie and Craig together. Walking into a small café nearby. “Isn’t that Katie and Craig?” Alana points. Madison turned her head and looked. She noticed them too.
“I thought that she was with Robert?” Madison was confused. Alana was confused too.
“Should we go ask her?” Alana asks.
“I think so.” Madison and Alana went to the small café that Craig and Katie had gone to. They walked over to them. Katie and Craig were sitting at a table. “Why aren’t you with Robert?” Madison asks her friend.
“Please, I don’t want to talk about it right now.” Katie answers.
“Why isn’t she with him?” Madison asks yet again.
“Katie doesn’t want to talk about it right now.” Craig tells Madison.
“Why not?” Madison was just confused.
“Let’s go Madison, it’s probably for not us to know right now.” Alana got Madison to leave with her.
“I thought that you wanted to ask Katie about her and Robert?” Madison asks confused. She didn’t understand.
“Don’t you understand? If she’s upset then that must mean something bad happened between her and Robert.” Alana seemed to get the whole idea of why Katie didn’t want to talk about it.
“What do you mean?” Madison asks still confused.
“I think they broke up, and my guess is Craig is taking Katie out to help cheer her up.” Alana was right on the mark.
“What?! Robert broke up with Katie?! Why?!” Madison couldn’t believe it. “I am going in there and ask her why he did!” Alana grabs onto Madison.
“Don’t. She doesn’t want to talk about it with us right now. I think we should leave her be unless she wants to talk about it.” Alana tells Madison. She looks down.
“I guess you’re right. But I feel bad for Katie. What makes her deserve to be dumped?” Madison asks. Alana didn’t have an answer for her.
“I did it. I broke up with Katie. All I want… All I want to be… To be with is…” Robert had his back against the front door. Feeling as if he wanted to cry. He wanted to hold it in. “I don’t love Katie. I… I love Lacy.” Robert says and had tears coming from his eyes. “I love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her. All day and every night. I wanted to take her away from that abuse of what Steven was doing to her. I want to break his neck for hurting her. For taking her innocence away.” Robert slides down to the floor.
“I can’t do anything. I am such an idiot. Lacy is with Ronnie. She doesn’t love me. That’s why love doesn’t exist. All it is… it’s painful. I wished I never fell in love…” Robert just couldn’t stop the tears coming down his face. If anyone saw him he would be embarrassed. He didn’t want anyone to see him. Anyone to see him like this. Crying. Crying like a big baby. He felt so stupid.
The front door was unlocking. Robert quickly got up and ran off. He ran straight to his bedroom. Abbilynn had opened the door.
“Man, I had a rough day today at work.” Abbilynn said feeling exhausted. “Maybe I should just go lay down and relax.” Abbilynn went upstairs. She went passed Robert’s and Ronnie’s bedroom. She heard someone crying. “Is someone upset?” She wondered. She went by the door. She knew she shouldn’t eavesdrop, but she felt concerned.
“Lacy is with Ronnie… Why did I have to be so stupid?! So stupid to fall in love with her?!” Robert says. He started to get angry as he was crying. Abbilynn heard him threw something in the bedroom. “She’s so… beautiful… When she kisses, it feels amazing. She’s good at kissing. Good at touching. Good at making me so damn horny! God! Her body feels nice too! Her breast! I like her voice! Her personality!” Robert threw something else. Abbilynn couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“What has been really going on between my daughter and these two boys?” Abbilynn wondered.
“Lacy may have had her virginity taken by that freak Steven. But… Lacy took mine and Ronnie’s. She made us both do things we couldn’t imagine. Ronnie likes Lacy too. I am sure of it. Probably likes her as much as I do. And… Lacy… I know Lacy likes us both.” Robert stops crying. Abbilynn heard it all. She wanted to open the door and say something but she wasn’t sure if she should. She needed to talk to Lacy about it later on tonight. When Abbilynn went to go to the attic she heard Lacy and Ronnie talking that she didn’t open the door.
“Ronnie, are you mad that I like you and Robert?” Lacy asks.
“A little mad, but I like you too much.” Ronnie answers.
“I am… not sure what’s wrong with me. Ever since I met you both I had a crush, but then the feelings started to develop into more when I kept hanging with you both. The way you both wanted to help me. The way you were so nice to me and cared for me.” Lacy said. She was blushing.
“You really are cute. But… there’s times when you’re so hot.” Ronnie laughs. Lacy and Ronnie were just lying on the bed next to each other naked. They had the blanket on them.
“Even though it didn’t last long, you were amazing.” Lacy says and kisses Ronnie’s cheek. “I need to get up and get dressed. I really need a bath though.”
“Me too.” Ronnie got up and was getting his clothes. He handed Lacy hers. They both were getting dressed. Abbilynn just decided to go downstairs.
“I can’t believe this. Lacy… why are you doing these things?” Abbilynn couldn’t think of what to do. Rick isn’t here to help me either with this parenting stuff.” James came into the house and saw his mother.
“Something the matter?” He asks her.
“Nothing.” Abbilynn lies.
“Mother, my friend Nikki has been having problems with doing equations in math, I have been helping him but he still has a difficult times trying to complete his homework with passing score.”
“I get it. You want to spend more nights with him? If his parents don’t mind, then I don’t mind.” Abbilynn said.
“Alright. I am going soon.” James walks away. James seem to spend a lot of time over Nikki’s. Abbilynn didn’t mind since it would give her a break from watching him. She had more problems to worry about. Lacy. What has Lacy been doing? She didn’t understand it but wanted to get to the bottom of it all. So far, she didn’t like what she knew and heard.
It was later that evening after dinner. Abbilynn was in the attic with Lacy who was fixing her bed.
“Lacy, I need to talk to you.”
“What is it?” Lacy asks her mom. She turned around and looked at her. Her mother had a very serious look on her face.
“Sit.” Abbilynn tell her. Lacy sat down on her bed.
“W-What is it?” Lacy asks.
“I don’t know what’s worse? You lying to me or you sleeping with two brothers?” Abbilynn looked angry now. Lacy couldn’t believe what she heard her mother say.
“W-What?” Lacy asks pretending not to know.
“Don’t play dumb with me, you think I am a dumbass? Lacy, I know what you have been doing and it needs to stop.”
