Robert was sitting on his bed in his bedroom. “Lacy wants to go on a date with Ronnie and me soon but I don’t know. I really would like to go alone with her… But… I already made told her I didn’t mind being with her if she wanted to be with Ronnie too.” Robert sighs. “I am not angry, I don’t feel angry. I just wish I could have a day with her alone too. Maybe I should suggest it to them. Ronnie might be up for it. I don’t know. I am sure he would want to spend one whole day alone with Lacy.”
Ronnie came into the bedroom. “What are you doing?” Ronnie asks.
“Just thinking about how I would like to spend a day with Lacy.”
“Hey! What about me?!” Ronnie glares at his brother.
“I was thinking maybe you could do that one day too. We can ask Lacy about it.” Robert suggested.
“I would love to spend a whole day with Lacy. I would go out on a date with her and do many other things.” Ronnie blushes.
“Yeah… Look, I am going to give Lacy a call and see what she thinks of the idea.”
“But who will go with her first if she agrees to it?” Ronnie asks.
“Does it really matter?” Robert left the bedroom. Ronnie followed him. Robert went downstairs and went to make a call to Lacy. Robert managed to make a call to Lacy. He got a hold of her and was speaking about the idea. “Does that sound like something to do?”
“Sure, but… will Ronnie be okay with it?” Lacy asks.
“I believe so. He wants to spend a whole day with you too.” Robert answered. “We just need to think of a good day to plan this.”
“How about in three days? I can go out with one of you one day and then the next day the other?” Lacy suggested.
“I don’t know, would you want to do that?” Robert asks her.
“I am sure.”
“Alright, in three days, Ronnie will spend the whole day with you. Then the next day after that will be my turn.”
“That sounds fair.” Lacy agreed with Robert.
“Good, but today let’s go out.”
“All of us?” Lacy asks and blushes a little.
“Yes, all of us.” Robert answered.
“Alright, you can come over to my home to pick me up. Bye.” Lacy hung up.
“What did she say?” Ronnie asks his older brother.
“We’re going out with her today but going to her place to go pick her up. In exactly three days from now is your whole day to spend with Lacy. But the next day after that is my whole day.”
“Really?” Ronnie asked surprised. “You’re letting me go first?”
“Yeah, why not. I can wait.” Robert responds. “Let’s get ready and head over to Lacy’s home.”
Lacy was sitting on her bed. “They both will be coming over and their home isn’t far from mine. That means that it won’t take them that long to get here.” Lacy looks at the closet. “Robert and Ronnie… They both… They both really made me felt like I belong somewhere when I met them. I don’t fight with my mother much anymore like I used to.” Lacy stood up went to her closet and opened the door. “Maybe I should dress myself into something nice or better…” Lacy pulled an outfit and started to get dressed into the other outfit. She puts on a shirt along with a short mini skirt. The shirt was purple and was short sleeved. Her skirt was black. She sat on her bed to put on her long stockings that were purple and black.
It was long later when Robert and Ronnie arrived at the house, Lacy had gotten her shoes on and ran out the door with both the brothers. “Where do you boys want to go?” Lacy asks.
“I am not really sure.” Ronnie answered truthfully.
“Ronnie, you brought your allowance money, didn’t you?” Robert asked his younger brother. He nods. “Good, so did I. Maybe we can hit up a few stores and then sit down to eat.”
“That sounds fine.” Lacy blushes at Robert. She then held his hand. Ronnie stared at the both of them. Lacy reaches her other hand out and grabs one of Ronnie’s hands. He blushed.
Alana had called for Max to come over. He came over and was in her bedroom with her. “I was thinking of spending the day with Katie but she is spending the day with Craig. I heard Madison came home early from camp. She didn’t want to stay the whole time.” Alana tells Max and sits down on her bed.
“You didn’t want to hang with me today really?” Max asked and sat down on the bed beside her.
“That’s not true. I love hanging with you.” Alana blushes as she stared at him.
“Why did you call me here? We could’ve met somewhere and just made it a date.”
“T-That’s true.” Alana looks down. “I don’t know why…” Alana wasn’t sure how to respond.
“My grandpa has became a pain in the ass lately. He acts like he won’t give me up. I feel like he’s so obsessed with me and I hate it.” Max admits. It was true, his grandpa wouldn’t stop it. Max felt irritated from him. “I can’t even stand to look at him anymore. I feel like punching him so bad and it’s wrong of me to feel that way.”
“I just don’t understand. Why is he doing all of this? Why can’t he let you decide who you want to live with? Then lying to you about your parents… That wasn’t right either.” Alana felt sorry for Max. He seemed like he was going through a lot.
“I don’t even know how my dad can put up with him. My dad has been getting angry with him too. My mom, she keeps crying a lot.”
“Your poor mother. I wouldn’t know how I would feel if someone took my baby from me. I probably be so heartbroken.” Alana couldn’t imagine what Max’s mother felt because she never had a child, but she was assuming it to feel very depressing.
“Dad took me aside recently and told me that mom gets depressed easily. He told me that’s why he doesn’t make her get a job and just has her stay home. Dad said after she had Louie mom suffered a miscarriage because she was so upset missing me. Then she started getting depressed because of the baby she lost.”
“That’s awful.” Alana couldn’t believe that Davina suffered a lot.
“And it just turns out my grandpa is making my mother depressed and it’s not really good right now.”
“Why not?” Alana asked.
“Well… you know how like Craig went blabbing to everyone on the phone that his mother is going to have a baby?” Max asked Alana.
“Y-Your mother is pregnant?” Alana asked.
“Dad thinks so. He said mom won’t come out and tell him. She keeps going to doctor appointments all on her own and he said he heard her get sick a few times in the bathroom before. He said he doesn’t want to sound mean but he noticed mom has gained a little weight but won’t come out and tell him she’s pregnant.”
“Maybe she’s afraid she will lose it? How long as this been going on? Recently or for a while?” Alana asks. “I am sorry if I seem nosy.”
“No. You’re fine. Dad said mom has been like this for a while now. Right around the first time I seen them.” Max answers Alana.
“She might be at least 5 to 6 months pregnant then.” Alana stares at Max. “If your mom is pregnant she should tell your father.”
“I know.” Max looks down. “I just hope if she is pregnant, she doesn’t lose the baby. I can’t stand seeing my mother being so sad and depressed. She doesn’t deserve to be so sad like that.”
“I agree.”
Lacy had gone to a few stores with Robert and Ronnie. After they were finished they were eating together. “We should play some video games together. You like video games?” Ronnie asked Lacy.
“I haven’t played much of them even though I do.” Lacy answered Ronnie.
“Our dad just gotten a few of them for all of us.” Robert tells Lacy.
“He did? Come to think of it, I don’t think I remember seeing any when I used to live over there.”
“Dad is amazing. He’s much more nicer than mom!” Ronnie said. His mother just seem to always be angry with all of them. He never understood why.
“I remember… when we were younger…” Robert looked at his drink. “Ronnie and I used to try to make mom happy. We tried being nice to her, but she always acted like she hated us…” Robert began telling Lacy about the past. “It was many years ago. I was about 7 and Ronnie was 6. Bryan was just about 2.”
“Clean this mess up you ungrateful brat!” Peggy yelled. She was yelling at Ronnie who accidently spilt his milk all over the table and floor.
“I am sorry, mommy.” Ronnie got up and was trying to clean the mess up. Peggy left the kitchen. Robert came into the kitchen and walks over to Ronnie.
“When you’re finished cleaning up your mess do you want to give mommy her mother’s day gift we got her?” Robert asked.
“Yeah! Maybe that will cheer mommy up? She seems mad all the time.” Ronnie replied. Robert helped Ronnie clean up the mess and then they went to their bedroom to the Mother’s Day gift they made for their mother. They went downstairs and into the living room. Their mother was sitting there on the sofa watching TV. Their dad was at work. Bryan was taking a nap at the time.
“Mommy, we got you something.” Robert said and hands his mother a card that him and Ronnie tried to make. She took it and looks at it.
“This thing is ugly! Why couldn’t you two get me something more valuable?! Like jewelry?! No woman would want this ugly gift!” Peggy tears the card up right in front of them. Ripping it into a ton of pieces. “Now, clean that up.”
“Why did you do that?” Ronnie asked and was about to cry.
“Because, I don’t want something so ugly for a Mother’s Day gift!” Peggy responds. “Now clean the mess up you two made! God, I wished I had little girls! Little boys are so annoying!” Peggy went back watching TV. Robert was glaring at his mother.
“Come on, Robert. Let’s just clean the mess up.” Ronnie said to his older brother.
“She didn’t have to do that.” Robert felt mad at his mother.
Lacy was staring at Robert when he stopped talking. “Wow. She really is rude.” Lacy said.
“There’s more to it. Well, you see Ronnie and I tried being nice to her up until I was 8. When it was my birthday my mom hit me and I couldn’t take it anymore. I went off. Calling her names. Cussing her out and kicking her. I got grounded for it.” Robert tells Lacy and then took a sip of his drink.
“Mom was always such a bitch. All because she wanted daughters. She was angry she just had sons.”
“That’s silly. She should be happy with her children no matter what. Not hate them because they weren’t the gender she wanted. Why is she so hooked on wanting daughters?” Lacy asked Robert and Ronnie.
“Because, she said boys are boring. She can’t have mother and daughter time. I remember when she was pregnant with Bryan. She was complaining to dad that he better be a she. And saying she was going to just toss him to him because she didn’t want another son.” Robert tells Lacy.
“That is sick. Your mother doesn’t even deserve a child. It’s good that your father divorced her.” Lacy didn’t want to hear anymore about Peggy. She felt like punching her if she seen her. She didn’t like hearing what she did to Robert and Ronnie. She didn’t even want to hear about her being cruel to Bryan.
