After dinner, Abbilynn had to tell Brice. Brice was cleaning dishes while everyone else left the kitchen. Abbilynn thought it would be a good idea to talk to Brice when no one was around.
“Brice, there’s something I have to tell you.” Abbiylnn said. Brice didn’t even like where this conversation sound like it was going.
“What?” Brice asks.
“It’s about us. I don’t… I don’t know if we should continue seeing each other.”
“Am I not your type?” Brice asks.
“It’s not that. It’s not you. It’s not even me.”
“What are you getting at?” Brice asked and stared at her.
“It’s our kids.”
“What about them?” Brice asked confused. “You don’t like my kids?”
“No! It’s not that! It’s Lacy and Robert!” Abbilynn blurts.
“You don’t like Robert or your daughter Lacy?” Brice asked confused.
“Brice. No. Pay attention. It’s because of them that I don’t think we should date! I think they might be dating or have been dating already and we never even knew!”
“What makes you think that?” Brice asked.
“I came home and saw them two. They were kissing in the living room on the sofa. I shouldn’t have been spying on them. I feel so stupid. I didn’t say nothing and went straight upstairs. I don’t even think they know I saw them.” Abbilynn admits.
“Oh. Maybe we should breakup. I don’t want to hurt Robert’s feelings. Or Lacy’s.” Brice said and looks down.
“I feel like all I do is have bad luck with men.” Abbilynn thinks to herself. “Brice.” Abbilynn looks at him. Brice finished cleaning the dishes and stared at her.
“Are you okay?” He asks. Abbilynn hugs Brice. She starts crying on him.
“I’m sorry! I miss Rick so much!” Abbilynn just couldn’t hold it in anymore. “I try to move on from him, but it’s so hard!” Brice hugs Abbilynn back. Bryan peaks into the kitchen and caught the both of them hugging.
“What are they doing?” Bryan wondered.
“I thought dating you would make me feel better and it was! But now…”
“I know. I was really enjoying being with you. I don’t know what to say to the children.” Brice admits. He some reason felt like he was enjoying Abbilynn’s company and liking her. Bryan just kept peaking at the both of them.
“Does daddy like Lacy’s mommy?” Bryan wondered. It was at that moment that Bryan watched Brice bend down and places his lips against Abbilynn’s. Bryan couldn’t believe what he was seeing. His dad just kissed Lacy’s mom. Bryan ran off. He went to look for Robert or Ronnie to tell them. He ran upstairs and found Robert and Ronnie in their bedroom with Lacy.
“What is the matter with you?” Lacy asked Ronnie.
“I just wanna lay down. Can’t you see that for right now?” Ronnie didn’t feel like being bugged.
“Hey! Everyone!” Bryan said as he entered the bedroom.
“What do you want? We don’t have the time right now.” Robert didn’t feel like dealing with Bryan right now.
“It’s about daddy.”
“What about him? Did he drop a plate?” Robert asks. He felt like he didn’t think it was something big to come upstairs to tell them about.
“No! It’s something else!” Bryan felt like he wanted to blurt it out.
“What is it then?” Lacy asks the younger boy.
“I saw my daddy kissing your mommy.” Bryan said. Robert and Lacy couldn’t believe it. Ronnie sat up.
“WHAT?!” He asked.
“It’s true! I saw them downstairs in the kitchen. Lacy’s mom hugged daddy and then they kissed.” Bryan tells them.
“Uhh… Bryan, won’t you not worry about that. Okay?” Lacy says and pushes Bryan out the door.
“But…” Bryan still was concerned.
“Just don’t think about it.” Lacy shuts the door and looks back at Ronnie and Robert. “I guess… I guess this means we probably shouldn’t be doing anything together anymore. We might end up as step siblings.”
“I doubt that! You think Bryan is lying?” Ronnie asked Robert.
“I don’t think so. Bryan usually don’t lie.” Robert responds.
“I feel so weird.” Lacy looks down.
“Lacy, we aren’t even dating you. Just because we fool around with you doesn’t mean anything. So if our parents are dating, it shouldn’t matter.” Robert tells Lacy. She was confused about it all.
“But what about if I get pregnant?!”
“Worry about problems that happen not something that didn’t happen.” Robert’s response was. Ronnie didn’t say anything. Robert left the bedroom. Ronnie stares at Lacy.
“Do you think it will be okay? I am really confused on what to do if my mom really likes your dad.” Lacy says looking at Ronnie. He stood up and walks over to the door and shuts it. He locks it. “Ronnie?”
“Lacy, why don’t you have some fun with me?” Ronnie asks. Lacy just stared at him confused. “I never do get to have fun with you. Right now will be perfect.”
“I thought you were tired?” Lacy asked. Ronnie just laughed.
Madison was sitting on the sofa at her house. “Where is mom and dad?” She wondered. She got up and went to look for her uncle. She found him in the kitchen. “Where’s my mom and dad?” Madison asked her uncle. “They said they would be home in time for dinner. Where are they?” Madison asks. The phone began to ring in the kitchen. Madison’s uncle went to answer it.
“Yes? I am Monica’s brother. Yes. Oh my gosh.” Judging by Madison’s uncle’s reaction was, Madison knew something had to be up.
“What’s wrong?” Madison asked, but the uncle didn’t answer her. He was busy talking on the phone. Madison began to worry about her mother and father.
Ronnie had Lacy lying on his bed. She was staring at him as he had his hands on her breast. “Ronnie, what are you doing?” Lacy asks. She was confused because Ronnie just was in this position for some minutes now.
“You have nice breast for your age.” Ronnie tells her. She just blushes.
“Ronnie, I haven’t done much with you. Don’t you want to do something?” Lacy asks. Ronnie sits up and looks down at her.
“Yes. Yes I do want to do something.” He had a serious face. Lacy sits up.
“What do you have in mind?” Lacy asked him.
“Let me turn the radio on.” Ronnie got up and turned the radio on. “No one can hear or come in. I don’t want to be disturbed.” Ronnie smiles devilishly.
Robert was looking for his dad and found him in the kitchen. Abbilynn had already left the kitchen. “Dad, can I ask you something?”
“What is it?” Brice asked and was wiping his hands with a hand towel.
“Are you… Are you dating Lacy’s mother?” Robert just had to ask. Brice wasn’t sure how to answer. It was true, Abbilynn and him have been seeing each other for the past days. Their relationship haven’t going on long, but before they even started dating, they flirted a little when no one was around.
“Why are you asking?” Brice asks.
“Bryan said he caught you and her kissing not too long ago.” Robert replies. Brice wasn’t sure what to say, because if Bryan saw it, then he saw it. Brice sighs.
“Robert, are you dating Lacy?” Brice just wanted to ask Robert this.
“No. We aren’t dating.” Robert answered honestly. Brice started thinking to himself about that.
“Why did Abbilynn say that she saw Robert and Lacy kissing?” Brice wondered.
“Why would you ask me that?” Robert wondered and asks his dad. Brice wasn’t sure how to respond. He just left the kitchen. Robert felt awkward. “Does dad know?” Robert asks himself.
Madison was staring at her uncle as he hung the phone up. He was looking down. “What is going on?” Madison asks. She was feeling scared now and worried.
“Your parents, they’re in the hospital.”
“Of course, wasn’t mommy supposed to pick up daddy in the hospital?” Madison asked. She was confused.
“You don’t understand. When your mom picked up your dad, they were driving in the car and got into an accident.” Madison couldn’t believe what her uncle just told her.
“WHAT?!” Madison started having tears coming down her face.
“They’re in the hospital now. Get in the car, We’re going to see them.” Madison’s uncle told Madison. Today was supposed to be a happy day. The family being back together. Not this. Not her mother going into the hospital too like her father. She was scared of losing them both. Madison and her uncle got in the car and left to the hospital.
Brice went looking for Abbilynn. He found her upstairs in the attic. “What is it?” Abbilynn asked Brice. She stared at him confused.
“Robert said he isn’t dating Lacy.”
“He isn’t? Then why did I saw them… kissing?” Abbilynn was confused.
“I am not sure.” Brice was confused as well. “Maybe you thought you saw them? Or you saw something that wasn’t happening and you mistaken?”
“No! I am positive! I saw them two kissing! I saw his lips on hers!” Abbilynn didn’t want Brice thinking she was a liar.
“I don’t want you to think I am calling you a liar.”
“Brice, what’s going on here?”
