Bryan was hanging with Craig outside. They both were eating ice cream. “Eating ice cream in winter is good!” Bryan smiles.
“Yeah, can we like go to see Max now?” Craig asked.
“Sure!” Bryan and Craig go to Max’s house. Craig knocked on the door. Max’s grandpa answered the door.
“Can Max come hang with us?” Craig asked.
“Not today, he’s grounded. He’s been grounded for some time now. He’ll be ungrounded by Christmas.”
“Wow, what did he do?” Bryan asks confused.
“I rather not say. Bye.” Max’s grandpa closed the door. Craig and Bryan began to walk together.
“What do you think Max did that made him get grounded?” Bryan asked his older friend.
“I think it was when he went to see his parents. Max’s grandpa doesn’t want Max to see his own parents. Isn’t that awful?”
“Why? That’s being crazy!” Bryan couldn’t believe what he heard.
“I know, poor Max. He just wants to see his parents and his grandpa doesn’t want him to.”
“That’s sad.” Bryan looks down feeling bad for Max.
Max was sitting on his bed in his bedroom. “This isn’t fair. Why can’t I see my parents? Why get punished for it?” Max leaves his bedroom and saw his grandpa in the hallway. “Grandpa, this is getting ridiculous. You hate my mom and dad? Why can’t I see them?” Max asked. He was glaring at his grandpa.
“They are just children. They aren’t smart enough to raise a child.”
“Hey! They are too smart! I have two siblings! You didn’t dare take them! They’re good too! Sherry and Louie!” Max yelled at his grandpa.
“There’s no more to discuss.” Max’s grandpa was about to walk away.
“There is more to discuss. You picking on my mom and she’s nice. You’re the jerk!”
“I guess you want to live with them, don’t you?”
“Well, yeah! Why did you take me away from them?!”
“Because.” Max’s grandpa turned around. He was glaring. “They were idiots having you so young, they couldn’t even take care of you! Didn’t even have a home!”
“That’s because you threw my dad out! Yeah, think I don’t know?! My mom’s parents were mean to her too! Just like you!”
“That’s because your mom was a little whore! Having you when she was a kid!”
“If she didn’t, I wouldn’t be here!” Max yelled back at his grandpa. “I am getting sick of this. You picking on my mom, my dad. And not looking back at yourself. You aren’t perfect.” Max felt angry with his grandpa.
Lacy was throwing things in the attic. Abbilynn and Brice came into the attic. “What the hell is going on in here?!” Brice asked confused. Lacy stopped. She had tears in her eyes.
“Lacy, why are you throwing things?” Abbilynn asked.
“Because!” Lacy looks down. “I gotta go to the bathroom!” Lacy left the attic.
“What’s the matter with her?” Brice asked Ronnie.
“You and Abbilynn stopped us when we were having sex, so maybe she is angry because you didn’t let her have an orgasm.” Ronnie laughed.
“This isn’t a joke! I am getting sick of your disgusting replies.” Brice glares at his son.
“Dad, I am guessing she’s mad because you caught her with Ronnie and now her and him is getting into trouble.” Robert tells his dad.
“Brice, how about you talk to Ronnie alone and I’ll talk to Lacy?” Abbilynn suggested.
“Alright, Robert, can you leave Ronnie and me alone to talk?” Brice asked.
“Why?” Ronnie laughs. “You might as well keep him in here too to hear this.”
“Ronnie!” Robert glares at his brother.
“What is he talking about?” Brice asked Robert.
“I don’t know.” Robert lies and left the attic with Abbilynn. Abbilynn went to go look for Lacy. Brice shuts the door and looks at Ronnie.
“We need to talk.”
“I guess so.” Ronnie just had a devilish smile on his face.
“Wipe that smile off your face. You did it this time. Why are you sleeping with that girl? You’re too young!”
“You’re right. I am too young.” Ronnie just wouldn’t stop smiling.
“I don’t know what to do, I would separate you and Lacy but if I do that-“
“You risk throwing them out you lose a girlfriend? Or you can’t believe the fact that Lacy and I have been doing it when you started dating Lacy’s mom?” Ronnie asked.
“Stop getting smart with me. Ronnie, when did you and Lacy started…”
“Having sex? Dating?” Ronnie asked and laughed. “We been having sex for a while now.” Ronnie pulled a cigarette pack out and pulled a cigarette out. Puts it in his mouth then put the pack away. He then pulled a lighter out and lights it. He starts smoking and puts his lighter away in his pants pocket.
“You are smoking too. You really are out of control. I am really no good at parenting. Ronnie no more sex.”
“Why does it matter?” Ronnie asked.
“You don’t want a kid your age.”
“I don’t care, if I have to, I’ll get a job if I have a kid. Dad, I don’t care. I love Lacy.” Ronnie says to his dad now with a serious face.
“Ronnie, you don’t know what you’re saying. If you end up getting her pregnant you will start freaking out and regret thinking that. You don’t want your teenage time robbed from you to raise a kid. You don’t want to be an adult now.”
“I don’t care.” Ronnie answers.
“You don’t care? So if you find out Lacy is pregnant, you don’t care and will help take care of her and the baby?” Brice asked.
“I will take care of her and the baby.” Ronnie said. His dad sighs.
“I don’t know what to do, you already smoke. Ronnie why can’t you just use protection if you want to do that?”
“I don’t care to. If she gets pregnant, it’s my problem and I don’t care.” Ronnie answered. Brice sighed.
“Alright, you think you can do it. Don’t come crying to me if you regret this.” Brice said and left the attic.
Abbilynn was talking with Lacy in the living room. “Are you sure you want to keep doing this? Do you want to stay in a relationship with him and continue doing that? What if you get pregnant?” Abbilynn asked her daughter.
“I don’t want a baby, but… mom, I like Ronnie a lot and I don’t want to leave him.” Lacy wasn’t sure what to say to her mother. Truth was, she wasn’t even dating Ronnie. She likes him as much as she likes Robert. Or so she thought. She wasn’t sure which one she wanted to date or if she was going to date either of them.
“I think what really makes me feel strange is the fact that I have been dating Brice.” Abbilynn admits. “And I just feel awkward.”
“Mom, do you like Brice more than my dad?” Lacy asks.
“Lacy, I… well…” Abbilynn looks down. “I actually love your father a whole lot, but… he doesn’t want me. So I have to move on. He hasn’t contacted me for years.” Abbilynn replies.
“Oh. I am sorry mom, if you want to still date Brice I understand.”
“I don’t know if I can because you’re dating Ronnie, wouldn’t that be weird? What if Brice and I really hit it off and then end up marrying him? You would be dating your stepbrother, and that wouldn’t be right. Also, it’s awkward you slept with him already.”
“Did you… do that with Brice?” Lacy asks. Abbilynn shook her head.
“No, but… I’ll give him up. Since I don’t want to ruin a relationship for you. Hopefully, I’ll find someone. Or your dad will come back to me.” Lacy couldn’t believe what her mom said. “I trust you to do what you want to do, but don’t you dare tell me you regret it and blame me for letting you do what you want to do.”
“I…I won’t.” Lacy answers.
“Alright, I think I am going to have a talk with Brice.” Abbilynn left the living room. Robert came into the living room.
“Are you in trouble?” Robert asks Lacy.
“No. I am not in trouble, but my mom and your dad thinks I am dating Ronnie.” Robert sits down by Lacy on the sofa.
“I wonder if Ronnie got in trouble.” Robert says and then looked like Lacy. Robert touches her face and was about to kiss her, but Lacy stopped him.
“No.”
“What do you mean no?” Robert asked confused.
“I guess I am dating Ronnie. Parents think so.” Lacy said and moves Robert’s hand.
“So after you dated Craig, you are already in a relationship with Ronnie?” Robert asked. He seemed to be getting angry.
“Might as well. Parents caught me with him. Might as well be with him.” Lacy responds.
“That’s stupid.” Robert got up and left the living room.
After another fight with his grandpa, Max decided to go walking. He snuck out while his grandpa was taking a nap.
