“You aren’t?” Katie was confused. “I saw you and her kissing!”
“What you saw was Peg trying to force herself on me.” Craig said. “I don’t want a pushy girl like her.”
“I don’t get it! I saw you and her together!” Katie was upset.
“Katie, I am telling you now. I don’t want her. I don’t love her. I love you.” Craig said. Katie blushed. Craig let’s go of her arm. She dropped her umbrella and with her other hand and puts her hands close to her mouth.
“I…I am sorry!” Katie apologized. She felt like it was wrong for her to think that Craig would break up with her without saying anything. She ran right to him and hugs him. She puts her arms around him. Craig hugs her back.
“It’s alright, Katie.” Craig reassures her.
Robert had gone back playing a video game with Lacy and Ronnie. Bryan got off the phone with Madison. “You two dating again?” Ronnie asks.
“It’s none of your business.” Bryan blushed and left the living room.
“It looks like they are back together again.” Robert said. Ronnie chuckled a little.
“I can’t understand how they could think that they broke over something like that? Peg is such a liar. You better not believe anything she says. You two hear that right?” Ronnie asked.
“Yeah, you better not believe her.” Robert said to Lacy.
“I don’t care what she says. She’s insane.” Lacy tells the both of them.
Katie and Craig lets each other go. “Now we both are drenched from the rain.” Katie laughed a little.
“Yeah, I know. We might as well go home. Want to come to my place? I can ask my mom for something to you wear.” Craig suggested.
“Sure.” Katie still laughed. The two of them got soaking wet from the rain. She decided to pick up her umbrella and hold his hand as they walked back to his home.
Peg was walking around in town. “How am I supposed to get that Alana brat and her Max to split up? I need to totally break those two up. Alana had her way growing up all the time I bet. That little bitch doesn’t deserve to be happy. I really should be the one dating. How dare she date him!” Peg was angry. She wanted to make sure she split those two up. What she didn’t know was that Madison and Bryan got back together. Katie and Craig also did and she was completely unaware of that. All what was on her mind now was to split Alana and Max up.
Peg decided to walk around to try to find where Alana lived. She heard she lived in a big fancy house that was still quite close to everyone else. “I can’t seem to find the damn house! This bitch can’t get away from me! I will show that spoiled princess that she can’t mess with me!” Peg was angry. She happened to see Alana. Alana had went outside to check the mail and quickly went inside due to the rain.
“Perfect.” Peg smiles wickedly. She quickly goes over to the door and rings the doorbell. Alana heard the doorbell.
“Who could be at the door?” Alana wondered. A maid came into the main hall. “Don’t worry, I’ll get it.” Alana tells the maid. The phone began to ring.
“I’ll get that.” The maid left. Alana opened the front door and seen Peg.
“W-What are you doing here?” Alana felt nervous. She never really spoke to Peg before and didn’t even know why she was at her home. It was very confusing for her. Peg just wanted to stir things up because she couldn’t stand the fact of seeing everyone happy. She also was supposed to be home because she was grounded but since both her father and his wife was at work, she left the house just to cause drama for everyone.
“I don’t need to hurt your feelings but I think you should hear this.”
“Hear what?” Alana asks.
“It’s about Max.”
“What about him?!” Alana asked feeling scared.
“Can I come in and tell you?” Peg asks. Alana nods and lets Peg in. The both go into the living room and sit down on the sofa.
“W-What is it that you wanted to tell me? Is Max alright?! What’s going on?!” Alana felt worried about Max. She was hoping everything was oaky with him. She wasn’t sure how Peg would know Max though.
“He’s been cheating on you.”
“He has?” Alana asked. “I don’t believe it! Max is really kind to me! He would never cheat!” Alana denied it. She didn’t believe Max could do such a thing.
“Believe it. I have been staying over my dad’s house with his other kids. You know Lacy and James? And I saw Max come over. Lacy invited him over and they went into her bedroom. I remember peaking in the doorway and saw those two making out. I am sorry, Alana. I saw it all. It was wrong. And I remember after a couple hours he was leaving her bedroom adjusting his clothes. Then I saw him give her money. I think she was selling herself to him. I can’t believe Lacy would do something like that to you and same with Max.” Peg said pretending to feel sorry for Alana.
“W-Why would Max do that?! Why would Lacy? Lacy is my friend! Why would she do that?” Alana started to cry. “Why would Max…” She didn’t understand it all. “Are you sure?”
“I am sure. I felt so pissed at him for doing that to you. You know I consider you as a friend.” Peg lies to Alana. She wanted her to believe the lie that she was making. Alana wasn’t sure what to believe. Her feelings were hurt. She felt betrayed by her own boyfriend and her friend. She didn’t know what to do or say about them. “I am sorry I had to tell you about it like this. I thought it would be better to tell you now instead of letting you being hurt later. I confront Max about this and he told me he really hates you. He even tried to flirt with me. That bastard.”
“Why would Max… He hates me?” Alana thought to herself looking down. She felt like she was heartbroken. Peg flashes a devilish smile.
“Oh, I wanted to tell you too. Max said he had fun taking advantage of you. That he said you were stupid to give in to him. Honey, I think he raped you. Poor thing.”
“Raped?” Alana didn’t feel like she was raped by Max. She felt like she wanted him as much as he wanted her.
“He told me he liked forcing himself on you and called you a dumb bitch for falling for it.” Peg lied yet again to Alana. Peg stood up. “Well, I got to go. I hope you feel better.” Peg left the home feeling satisfied. She didn’t even bother speaking to Max. She knew that his little thing she stirred up will be enough. “Hopefully Alana will stop talking to them both. She will break up with her boyfriend and then fight with Lacy.” Peg laughed as she walked down the street from the house.
Alana could believe everything that Peg had told her. She sat there on the sofa. Tears came down her face. She was very upset. She didn’t know what to think or say. “Max… he cheated on me. He forced me to have sex?” Lionel came into the living room.
“What’s the matter?” Lionel asked her. He saw her crying. He saw the tears.
“I guess I am really stupid. I really am.” Alana laughs a little. “Max really hates me. I was just told that he hates me and that he cheated on me with my best friend.” Alana started crying more. Lionel sat on the sofa and brought Alana close to him. He hugs her.
“Alana, I am sorry about that. Are you even sure this is true? I spoke to Max before and he seemed like he really cared for you.”
“I…I don’t know… I always thought…thought he was really nice. I thought he was caring. I feel like…like it’s so out of character for him!” Alana cries. She felt very depressed.
“Are you going to talk to Max about it?” Lionel asked.
“No! He hates me! He hates me! Lacy was supposed to be my friend! How can she do something like this to me?!” Alana cried. Lionel felt angry. His little half sister was upset and he didn’t like seeing her cry and being hurt.
Max at home was helping his mom with a few chores. He was helping her vacuum the living room. Sherry was playing with dolls in her bedroom. Louie was reading a book on the sofa. Max turned the vacuum off. “Why don’t you help mom?” Max asked Louie.
“I am in the middle of reading.” Louie responded.
“Dad is at work. Mom has been really tired lately. Why can’t you help out?”
“I told you. I am reading.” Louie answered again. Louie mainly kept to himself. Max was for sure that he never seen any friends come over.
“I wonder why you don’t hang with Madison or Bryan. Aren’t they around your age?” Max asks.
“They’re immature.” Louie responds. Max felt confused.
“Well they are kids and so are you.”
“You’re a kid too.” Louie closes his book.
“Is there any girls in school you like?”
“Do you like to be so nosy?” Louie just seemed to be not friendly.
“Hey, I just want to talk to you. We never seem to talk much since I started living with you. Sherry is more friendly than you. I seen you be nice to her. Why rude to me?” Louie stood up and flipped Max off. He then left the living room. “Wow. Really?” Max felt like his younger brother was just rude at times. Davina came into the living room.
“Thank you Max for helping out. I am sorry about Louie.”
“What is his deal? Why is he always like that?” Max asks. “I try to talk to him but he hates me.”
“I don’t really know. I think he likes some girl but is afraid to admit it. Some girl he keeps having class with. He is trying to act mature because the girl likes to hang with older girls. She also has some crush on an older guy and Louie wants to impress her. But I don’t think the girl will really pay attention if she isn’t here.” Davina responds.
“So he does like a girl? Do you know her name?” Max asks.
“Yes, her name I believe was ‘Sabrina’? He told me before but now he’s been so shy.” Max couldn’t believe it.
“Sabrina?! My friend Craig has a little sister named that! She is around Madison’s age too!” Max was surprised. “You think that’s the girl? Craig’s younger sister has a crush on an older guy and she hangs with older girls!”
“That might be her.” Davina was surprised as well. “It really a small world. I am going to go out and get some groceries. I am going to take Sherry with me. Got to get some extra things for dinner tonight. Can you stay home with Louie?”
“Alright.” Max replied. Davina ended up leaving with Sherry to go to the grocery store.
