Alana was sitting at her desk in class. “I hope Lacy is alright, she told me all about her problem. I wonder what she’s going to do about it. Also… Lately, Katie and I have been hanging a lot with Craig and Max. We been hanging with Madison too, but she seems to be busy a lot because she needs tutoring in school. I feel bad for her because she just doesn’t seem to get her homework or classwork.” Alana glances over at Craig. He was doing the assignment that the teacher assigned the class to do. Alana blushes as she stared at him.
“For some reason, since I met Craig I just started having a crush on him. He really is very nice. He’s one of the nicest guys in the school. Max is a nice guy too, but sometimes he really is too much of a flirt. I wonder if Craig likes me too?” Alana thought to herself. She looked down at her paper. She realized she haven’t wrote a thing down on it. “Eh?! I better start with my work!” Alana quickly started to work on her assignment. After school, Alana was at her locker.
Craig and Max came over to her. “Want to hang again today?” Max asked Alana.
“I would love to! Where are we going to hang at?” Alana asked.
“Well, my grandpa is actually trying to talk to my parents, so we can’t go to my place.” Max tells her.
“We can go to my place. We just got done fixing up the home. Wait, your grandpa is actually trying to talk to your parents now?” Craig asked surprised.
“Yeah, I finally convinced him to talk to them. Grandpa came clean and told me some things. I rather talk about it later. Alright?” Max replied.
“That really is good that they are now communicating. It must’ve been very difficult how the things were going up until now.” Alana says as she got her backpack out of her locker. She puts some books into it and zips it up. Then puts it on her back.
“Yes. It was difficult. But things are getting easier now.” Max smiles. Alana smiled back at him.
“Alright! To my place! Oh wait, should we invite Katie?” Craig asked.
“That will be great to invite her! Can we invite Madison too?!” Alana just asked with a huge smile.
“Madison? I guess if she wants to come over.” Craig answered.
Lacy was at her locker. She made it through school the whole day, but felt tired. She just wanted to leave school and get to bed. Ronnie and Robert came over to her.
“Are you okay? Feeling any better?” Ronnie asked her.
“No. I am not. I am going home, or to my grandparents place to rest.” Lacy answered.
“Your mom and dad really back together again?” Robert asked. She nods.
“Yes, dad is coming to pick me up. I have to get my things.” Lacy got her backpack and shuts her locker. “If you want to come over, you can.”
“Where’s the address?” Robert asked.
“I mean, I can ask my dad to take you there with me. When we get there you can leave a message for your dad to let him know where you are.” Lacy responds.
“What about Bryan?” Ronnie asked.
“Oh. I forgot.” Lacy sat her backpack down on the floor and opened it up. She got a piece of paper and pen out and wrote the address and directions on the paper. She handed the paper to Robert and then puts her pen back into her backpack. Zips it up and then picked it up.
“That’s not too far. We’ll come later. Alright?” Robert says to her and she nods. She walks away from them.
“Do you think she’ll be okay?” Ronnie asks Robert.
“I think she will.” Robert replied.
It wasn’t too long later when Katie, Alana, and Max had gone to Craig’s home. Madison couldn’t come due to having homework to catch up on.The home was quite nice that his family got into. “This is actually beautiful.” Katie says. Craig smiles back at her.
“What should we do? Watch a movie?” Alana suggested.
“We could do that.” Craig says. “I’ll get some DVDs out.” Craig went to pull some movies off the TV stand. Katie, Max, and Alana sat down on the sofa.
“Please no stupid movies. I want to see an action movie.” Max tells Craig.
“I don’t want to see no horror.” Katie adds.
“I am fine with whatever.” Alana says.
“Here are five movies. Take your pick.” Craig sits them on the coffee table for the three to stare at. “Ill get some snacks and something to drink.” Sabrina came into the living room.
“Craig, what are you doing?” Sabrina asks.
“Hanging out with my friends. Why aren’t you hanging with your friends?” Craig asked his little sister.
“They are too busy going on dates. They’re older than me.”
“I forgot about that. Is Jalicia still angry with me?” Craig asked.
“No, but whatever you did to her she said she hates you.” Sabrina replies as she followed her brother to the kitchen.
“I tried to tell her I wasn’t into dating her.” Craig mumbles as he opened a cabinet.
“You know Jalicia said she used to have a crush on you but those days are over. She totally has the hots now for Tj. And I don’t know why. Tj is a lousy teenager that does bad things. I feel sorry for her. Tj is annoying.”
“Sabrina, how do you know him?” Craig asked as he pulled two bags of chips out of the cabinet.
“Well, all my friends know him. Paige, Doreen, and Jalicia. They’re older. I told you that like a million times! I don’t even really talk to kids my age.”
“Why don’t you talk to Bryan or Madison? They’re your age.” Craig said as he sat the bags of chips on the table and opened the fridge to get drinks out.
“Because, they’re really childish. All they do in class is fight most of the time. I need to talk to more mature people. And I would like to add my friends are coming over. So your friends better not be too loud!”
“I thought you said they had dates?” Craig asks confused. He wasn’t sure why Sabrina told him that her friends were on dates but now acting like they were coming over.
“Whatever!” Sabrina ran off.
“I wonder about her sometimes…” Craig mumbled and then closes the fridge. He grabs the chips and went back into the living room. He sits it all on the coffee table.
“Thank you.” Alana said as she stared at Craig.
“We decided on watching this. I already put it on and put the those other DVDs away.” Max tells Craig.
“Alright.” Craig sits down on the chair next to the sofa as they began to watch a movie. There was a knock at the door not too long later. Sabrina went to answer it. At the door was Jalicia, Doreen, and Paige. Sabrina’s friends.
“What is going on in here?” Doreen asks Sabrina.
“My brother hanging out with his friends. Now let’s go to my bedroom!” Sabrina said. All the girls followed Sabrina into her bedroom.
“So has Craig been going out on anymore dates with girls and breaking their hearts?” Jalicia asked. She was sitting on the floor with Paige and Doreen. Sabrina joined them.
“No. Not really. Well, he was dating a girl name Lacy at one point. But their relationship didn’t last too long. But I don’t think that Lacy girl is depressed or mad at my brother.”
“Why is Craig a heartbreaker if he really seems like a nice guy? I don’t understand it.” Doreen was confused.
“Beats me, I honestly don’t know why he is such a weirdo.” Sabrina answered.
“He really isn’t my type. I went out with Kevin, Tj’s best friend for a little while but all that guy wanted was sex! I turned him down. I don’t want to be with a guy if he only wants me for my body!” Paige said.
“That’s awful. Kevin shouldn’t be like that. I don’t understand why guys can be like that.” Doreen said to Paige.
“I was used by that idiot Craig! That’s why I despise him. He really isn’t mean and I guess I really let him do that. But still… I am mad at him.” Jalicia says and looked down.
“I don’t understand guys at all. They really are weird.” Sabrina said and stood up. “Remember yesterday when we were hanging together? Tj was so annoying with his friends Kevin and Omar. They just kept teasing us when we just wanted to get pizza.”
“I know. Omar is usually quiet, but when he’s with them he acts up.” Doreen replied to Sabrina. “It really is a shame too. None of them are ugly, but they aren’t great guys.”
“I knew them since I was 8 and they still have been crazy.” Sabrina tells her friends.
When Lacy got to her grandparents’ house, her dad was sitting in the living room with her. Lacy’s grandpa was at work while her grandma was in the kitchen. “Lacy, I have to ask you something. Your mom wants to know too.”
“What is it?” Lacy asks and stared at her dad.
“Do you want this baby? Do you want to keep it? It’s up to you. It’s your choice. Do you want the baby? Or do you want to give it up for adoption? Or abort it?” Rick asks his daughter. “Your mother and I decided that we want you to decide what you want to do.”
“Dad, I really don’t want children. I don’t feel like I like kids.”
“Would that mean you want to get rid of it?” Rick asks. She shook her head.
“No. I couldn’t do that to my baby.” Lacy says and looked down. “I would regret it if I did.”
“Do you even know who’s the father?”
“I am guessing Ronnie. He’s Robert’s younger brother. The one with his hair to the side. Dark brown hair.” Lacy tells her dad. “I am only guessing, but I am not exactly sure.”
“Why don’t you just date one and stay with him? Whichever one that you’re pregnant by?” Rick suggested to Lacy.
“I would but… I really like both.” Lacy answered.
“I know you probably aren’t going to like this but, your mother is going to tell Brice, Robert’s and Ronnie’s dad about your pregnancy.”
“W-Why?!” Lacy wasn’t ready for Robert or Ronnie knowing about it.
“I am sorry Lacy. But they will eventually find out no matter what.” Rick said to her and stood up. Rick left the living room. Lacy started to worry.
“W-What am I going to do?!”
