It was now Spring. Early spring at the end of March. Madison was spending the night with her friend Katie. They were having a sleepover.
“You gave Ronnie up?” Katie asks Madison.
“I gave him up a while ago. I like him but realized it wasn’t love at all. I think of him as an older brother.” Madison replies honestly. She didn’t feel love towards Ronnie. The kind of love where she actually wanted to be his girlfriend.
“I gave up Robert too a while ago. He isn’t for me. He’s just… I don’t know how you put it. He isn’t a bad guy. It’s just… well…”
“He likes Lacy doesn’t he?” Madison asked. Katie looks down.
“Yes, he likes her a lot even though he doesn’t admit it. I know he does. I can tell. And I can’t break them up. I am not sure about Ronnie and Lacy though…”
“I don’t get the deal either, that’s another reason why I gave up Ronnie. He’s too attached to Lacy as well.”
“I guess she really means a lot to them both. I am not sure.” Katie said and looked back at Madison.
“We should’ve invited Alana over! Why didn’t we?” Madison asks
“Because, you know how her and Max started dating. She had a date with him in the evening and couldn’t come over.” Katie tells Madison.
“She is dating that weirdo? He’s weird.” Madison said and laid down. She was supposed to sleep on the floor near Katie’s bed.
“Max isn’t that weird. Well, I know he’s a flirt but he is nice.” Katie said. “His best friend Craig seems nice too, but I heard rumors from girls about him.”
“What kind of rumors?” Madison asks.
“I don’t know if I should discuss that with you. You’re too young.”
“Oh man. I’m going to sleep!” Madison closes her eyes. Katie looked out her window next to her bed.
“I don’t get it. Craig does seem like a really nice guy. But… why did some girls in the school said all he does is date girls and sleep with them? Doesn’t actually form a relationship with them. Just wants sex and then is done with them. Is he really like that?” Katie wondered.
The next day had arrived. It was a weekend and no one had to go to school. Madison was brushing her hair sitting on Katie’s floor. Katie was also fixing her hair.
“Why don’t you date that Michael boy you keep talking about?” Katie suggested to Madison.
“I don’t want to date him! I don’t like him that way! He’s nice but… I just don’t feel love towards him.” Madison replies as she tied a ribbon into her hair.
“What about Bryan?”
“Bryan is mean!” Madison blushed. Katie saw that Madison’s face blushed.
“The way Bryan acts seems like he likes you to me. The way you describe him. Sometimes boys are weird and be mean to the girls they like.” Katie said and Madison blushed more.
“I don’t think so! He’s really a jerk!” Madison said and was putting her brush into her backpack.
“Whatever you say.” Katie laughs a little. She knew Madison was blushing. She could tell. “She might have a crush on him and doesn’t even realize it just yet.” Katie thought to herself. Katie sat her brush down.
“Let’s not talk about Bryan.”
“Alright, let’s talk about Craig. Do you think he’s the type to hurt girls’ feelings?” Katie asked.
“Craig? He’s too nice. I doubt that.” Madison answered.
“I don’t believe it as well. I just don’t understand how some girls could say something like that about him?”
“Do you like him?” Madison stood up and got in Katie’s face. Katie blushes a little.
“I…I don’ know! I just… I know we keep doing homework together… And I don’t know why I feel happy around him and nervous. I don’t think I do.” Katie answers nervously.
“You might like him. Why not? He’s nicer than Robert. You probably have a better chance with him then Robert. Robert has a mean attitude sometimes and I just don’t understand him. Now Craig, he’s sweet. He doesn’t seem like he has a mean bone in him.” Madison tells her best friend.
“Maybe you’re right.” Katie laughs a little.
Later that day, Madison and Katie had gone out. They were shopping at the mall together. Max and Craig were in the mall as well. Hanging together.
“Every time I am so in the mood we stop. I can tell she wants it too, but is acting shy.” Max said to Craig.
“Didn’t the two of just started dating? You shouldn’t be trying that with her yet.” Craig says to Max.
“You’re one to talk. You did any girl and left them.”
“That was the past. I am over that now.” Craig says and they went to get something to eat. After they got something to eat they were sitting down at the table.
“I tried tonguing her, rubbing her, kissing, fondling, what should I do? She keeps saying she isn’t sure if she is ready or not. She is afraid someone will think dirty of her if she just gave in to me.”
“Girls have to protect their reputation. Guys don’t. We can do whatever the hell we want and be the man compared to girls.” Craig says and took a bite of his food.
“No one has to know about anything. We can keep it a secret. I just don’t understand her. She gets so wet too and still says no.”
“How can you tell about that?” Craig asks.
“I touched her. I felt her wet. I was about to do more and she stopped me.”
“I don’t need to know all that information. Just give her time. Don’t force her or you’ll get her upset. Only when she is ready. I suggest sweet talking. Sweet talk her and while you do, caress her body. Give her kisses and kiss on her body. Remember sweet talk! That usually gets a girl going.”
“Is that how you did many?” Max asked. “You’re really disgusting.”
“Hey! You asked.”
“Alright, so sweet talking should help?”
“Yes. Tell her she’s beautiful. Tell her you won’t hurt her. Tell her you love her. Anything to get her to spread.”
“You’re grossing me out!” Max said and threw a french fry at Craig. Katie and Madison came over to the both of them.
“I didn’t expect to see you both here. You hanging out?” Katie asks.
“Yes.” Craig answered.
“Where’s Alana? Did you eat her Max?” Madison jokes and glared at Max.
“I wish I did.” Max laughed. Craig elbowed him.
“We were just having a guys’ day. Hanging out. You having a girls’ day?” Craig asked Katie. She nods.
“Madison, Alana decided to go home last night and said she wants to be home all day to think things through.” Max tells Madison.
“Think what through? Seconds thoughts of dating a pervert?” Madison asks and Max glares at her.
“Pervert?! Who are you calling a pervert?! You should look at Craig! He’s the pervert!”
“I am not!” Craig snaps at Max.
“Don’t fight you two.” Katie said. She wasn’t sure what Max meant. Craig was staring at Katie. He blushes as he started at her.
“She really looks cute today. I wish I can take her home and…” Craig didn’t know why he was thinking weird thoughts. “I don’t want to hurt her or just be done with her like those other girls. Katie seems so special.”
“Let’s go shop!” Madison grabs Katie’s arm and ran off with her. Max looked at Craig.
“You’re blushing. Do you like Katie?” Max asked. “Oh wait, I forgot you have a crush on her.”
“Katie isn’t going to want a guy like me. Knowing my past.” Craig said and stood up. “Let’s go.”
“Already?”
After spending the day with Madison, Katie had gone home. When she got home, she received a phone call. She ran to the phone and answered it. “Hello?” She asks as she answers it.
“Hey, It’s me, Craig. You want to go somewhere tomorrow?” Craig asks.
“Are you trying to ask me on a date?’ Katie asks and blushes. Craig wasn’t sure why he was trying to ask Katie. He likes her but didn’t think she felt the same way towards him.
“I… really… don’t know what to say.” Craig responds. “Do you want to go with me? Hang out?” Craig asked.
“I guess so. Where to?” Katie asked.
“Anywhere you want. I’ll come by tomorrow to pick you up by 1 PM. Alright?”
“That will be fine.” Katie answers. She was blushing. She felt her heard pounding. She got off the phone with Craig and looks down at the floor. “Why is it now when I think of him? When I have been around him I feel my heart beat so fast? I sometimes feel like I can’t breathe.” Katie was confused on her feelings, but knew this had to be a crush. She wasn’t sure why she was feeling like she had a crush on Craig. She never noticed this feeling she had towards him.
