Max was watching TV with Ronnie in the living room. Bryan came in there. “What you two watching he asks?”
“Nothing for little kids.” Max responded.
“Hey! I am not a little kid!” Bryan glares at Max.
“You’re holding a teddy bear. That makes you a little kid.” Max said starting at Bryan for holding a teddy bear. He forgot that he was holding it.
“I am not.” Bryan lies and tried to hide it behind his back. Max and Ronnie laughed a little. Brice came into the living room.
“Where’s Robert?” He asks.
“I don’t know, I didn’t pay attention where he went.” Ronnie replied.
“Oh, I wanted to tell him that for the weekend we will have your cousin Michael coming over. Your uncle will be coming too.”
“NO! I am not sharing my room anymore!” Bryan glared up at his dad. “I don’t want to be around Michael!”
“What’s wrong with Michael? He’s a good kid.” Brice says. He didn’t understand why every time he mentioned Michael coming to visit or spend a few nights, Bryan would get mad.
“I told you already! He’s so quiet and weird!” Bryan responded. “And are you sure he’s younger than me? He’s taller and it’s weird.”
“You’re just short.” Ronnie laughed.
“Hey!” Bryan snaps at Ronnie.
“Bryan is a little short.” Max agreed with Ronnie.
“I know, he’s the shortest in his classroom. It’s hilarious.” Ronnie tells Max.
“Stop it! I am not!” Bryan denies it.
“Okay you two, stop teasing Bryan.” Brice said. Bryan left the living room and went to his bedroom. He shuts the door.
“Why does everyone do that to me?! Tell me I am short! Or I am so childish. I am sick of it.” Bryan says looking down at the floor. Bryan picked up the class photo from school. He looked at everyone on the photo. Bryan was in the front because he was rather short. In fact, he was the shortest kid in the whole class. The rest were taller than him. Only a few girls were almost his height but were at least half an inch taller. Bryan just felt humiliated about it. “Then there’s Madison in class. She picks on me every time I tease her about her being pulled back a grade.”
Bryan blushes staring at the classroom picture. “She is… She is…” Bryan mumbles and then shook his head. “NO! Ew! Yuck! I shouldn’t be thinking weird things! Bryan left his bedroom and happened to find his dad now in the kitchen. His dad was looking in the fridge.
“Who has been getting into my beer?” Brice asked noticing some of the cans were gone.
“Beer?” Bryan asks.
“You better not been drinking it.” Brice said and shuts the fridge’s door.
“No. I have been having milk, juice, and pop.” Bryan replies and smiles.
“That’s fine if you been having those.” Brice tells his son. Bryan looks at his dad.
“Are you sure that Michael is going to come over?”
“Yes, why are you upset about it? Michael isn’t mean.” Brice opened a cabinet and got a bag of potato chips out.
“I know… It’s just he’s so quiet that it’s weird. Really weird.” Bryan responds.
“That’s just his personality.”
“W-What does it feel like to like someone? How do you know that you…l-like them?” Bryan asks confused.
“You’re young, but I guess if you were to like someone you will just know. Your heart will pound, you will clam up, be shy around them, or sometimes be mean to the person and don’t know why.” Brice just guessed. “Why? Do you like a girl?”
“No! No way! Yucky! Cooties!” Bryan’s response was.
“I thought you would’ve been over the cooties faze. I stopped when I was about 9-years-old when I had the hots for my teacher. Silly crush that was.” Brice laughs. Bryan left the kitchen and went into the living room. He went over to Ronnie and Max.
“When did you two start liking girls?” Bryan asked randomly. Max and Ronnie just stared at him confused. Confused on why he asked them such a bizarre question.
“5.” Max answers. “I had a thing for Suzy, Amber, and Candice in my class in kindergarten. Got in trouble for slapping their butts. Oh wait, I was 6 in kindergarten. 5 was when I liked girls though. I was hot for my babysitter. She didn’t appreciate the hopping on her lap though.”
“What about you, Ronnie?” Bryan asked staring at his older brother.
“Maybe 7? I don’t know. In the grocery store I started pulling women’s or girls’ skirts up when I saw them. I was really fascinated with panties when I was that age. In fact, I still am.” Max laughed at what Ronnie said.
“Why are you asking us this? Did you start liking girls?” Max asked Bryan. Bryan just blushed.
“N-No! No way!” Bryan ran off.
“He has the hots for someone.” Max said looking at Ronnie and then laughed.
“Probably does. If he asked us when did we start liking girls, imagine when he’s a little older and asking us when was the first time we had a boner?”
“And I wouldn’t respond to that!” Max laughed along with Ronnie.
Lacy and Ronnie felt like they couldn’t stop. Robert had Lacy on the stairs. They both were half naked. “Robert, this is so uncomfortable. Let’s move to the sofa.” Lacy said. Robert got up. He picked up his shirt and belt. Lacy got up and picked up her underwear and they both went into the living room. They sat the belt, shirt, coat, and underwear on the sofa. Robert sat in the chair and was undoing his pants.
“Take a ride on me.” Robert tells Lacy. He had a devilish smile upon his face. She flashes one back to him. She climbs onto his lap.
“I’m not heavy am I?” She asked.
“No, you’re just right.” Robert said. “Now slide down it and ride.” Robert says to her. Lacy blushes red.
Bryan was sitting on his bed. He kept staring at the class photo. He kept staring at Madison on it. “Why does she make me…feel weird?” Bryan asked staring at the photo. His face was red as he kept staring at the photo with her on it. She was standing on the row above him as she was taller than he was. Bryan and two other girls were not even on a bleacher as they were the shortest in the class. The taller you were, you were up higher standing on the bleachers. Madison was behind Bryan on the photo.
“Madison…” Bryan mumbles as he kept staring at the photo.
Lacy didn’t even get on Robert. She had ran to the bathroom and was throwing up in the toilet. Robert had fixed his pants and went into the bathroom.
“Are you okay?” He asks her. Lacy stops and wipes her mouth. She then stood up and was cleaning her hands.
“I don’t know. I keep feeling a little sick lately, but I try to ignore it.” Lacy answered and turned the sink off.
“Did you throw up before?” Robert asked. “Or is that your first time?”
“It’s not my first, but it just started recently. I might be getting sick.” Lacy left the bathroom and went back into the living room to put her underwear back on. Robert followed her in the living room and was putting his shirt and belt back on.
“Do you have a fever?” Robert asked her. Lacy shook her head.
“I checked my temperature recently and it was normal. I don’t know what’s the matter with me. Maybe I should ask my mom or dad.” Lacy guessed. “I’ll try to call my mom if she isn’t too busy. Lately, she won’t really talk to me on the phone.” Lacy went to the house phone and dialed her mother’s number. The phone picked up.
“Hello, this is the Leamer residence. Whom is this?” James asked.
“James, can you please get mom? I need to ask her something.”
“Certainly, Just be patient, I’ll get her.” James sits the phone down and went to go look for his mother. “Mother, Lacy wants to speak with you on the phone, she says that she needs to ask you a few questions. It could be important.” James tells his mom and then left. Abbilynn went into the living room and picked up the phone.
“What is it?” Abbilynn asks.
“Mom, I don’t have a fever but I been feeling weird. Like I want a throw up and sometimes I have been. Do you know what’s wrong with me? Could I be sick without a fever?” Lacy asks.
“Did you have your period recently?” Abbilynn asks. Lacy had to stop and think about it.
“Come to think of it, no. I didn’t have it earlier this month or January.” Lacy admits.
“Lacy, this doesn’t sound too good. Is your dad there?”
“No. He left.” Lacy admits.
“I am coming over to give you some pregnancy tests. Take one now and then take one tomorrow morning or a few days later in the morning. Do you understand?”
“O-Okay.” Lacy was confused but started to feel scared.
“And if this comes out positive then you need to tell your dad to make an appoinment to the doctors for you.”
“Alright.” Lacy hangs the phone up and was looking down.
“Is everything okay?” Robert asks Lacy.
“I am not sure…” Lacy felt worried. She didn’t want to be pregnant and was hoping she wasn’t. She didn’t want to raise a kid at the moment, in fact she didn’t know if she even wanted to raise a kid at all.
