Madison was wearing her new dress she recently got and had it on at school too. She was upset because Bryan teased her about it. “Why did he have to say such mean things about my dress?” Madison thought to herself. “Does it really look ugly?” Madison wondered and looked in the mirror. “A boy name ‘Bryan’ in school said I looked weird and silly. He hurt my feelings.” Madison said. Monica just giggled slightly. “It’s not funny.”
“Madison, did you happen to ever think that boy might have a crush on you? You said ever since you started that class with him he has been being very mean to you? Teases you a lot? He might like you. Boys are childish sometimes when they have a crush.”
“Ew. I don’t want him having a crush on me. He’s a meanie!” Madison says and left the living room.
“Our daughter really is growing up isn’t she?” Madison’s dad asks his wife. She nods.
“I think she might have a crush too and doesn’t realize it. Love is silly sometimes.” Monica laughs.
Robert was staring at the floor. I wish that Katie was more like Lacy. Lacy is someone I really l- NO!” Robert thought to himself and shook his head. “NO! There’s no such thing! I can’t…”
“Are you okay?” Katie asks Robert.
“It doesn’t exist!”
“What?” Katie asks confused. She didn’t understand what was going on with Robert.
“Love doesn’t exist, I need to stop thinking of Lacy.” Robert thinks to himself. He looks at Katie.
“Robert?”
“It’s nothing.” Robert lies.
Lacy was with Ronnie. “Should we head back soon? We went out to eat and looked at some music.” Lacy says to Ronnie.
“Why you want to go back home so quick?” Ronnie asks. Lacy wasn’t sure why she wanted to go home. She just felt weird. “Fine, let’s go.” Ronnie takes Lacy home with him. They get into the house. “I need to put my coat away, we can go hang out in the attic together.” Ronnie says and ran upstairs. Lacy followed. She went straight to the attic. Ronnie went into his bedroom and saw Robert with Katie. “You two really together?” Ronnie asks.
“What do you want?” Robert asked Ronnie.
“Just wanted to sit my coat in here.” Ronnie says and threw his coat off, scarf, gloves, and shoes and ran out of the bedroom. Ronnie went up to the attic and sees Lacy. Sitting on her bed. She already removed her shoes, coat and gloves. Ronnie walks over to her. “Robert has Katie over here.”
“He does?” Lacy asked. She then looked down. “I guess he’s seeing her.” Lacy thinks to herself feeling upset. “I shouldn’t feel sad, but I do.” Lacy didn’t want to tell Ronnie that. She kept that to herself. Ronnie sits down by her.
“You aren’t upset are you?” Ronnie asks. Lacy shook her head.
“No.” Lacy lies yet again to Ronnie. “I hate lying to him.” Lacy thought as she looked down at the floor. She didn’t know what to say or do. She felt bad for lying to him, but she wasn’t sure what to do or say. She didn’t want to hurt his feelings. She liked Ronnie a whole lot, but she also still likes Robert. She looks at Ronnie. He was staring back at her. “Ronnie.”
“What?” Ronnie asks. She had her eyes looking right at him. He was staring right back at her. She moves her face towards his. Their faces were right by each other. “Lacy?” Ronnie asks. Lacy pushes Ronnie down on her bed. “What are you doing?” Ronnie asks her. She leans on him and places her lips on his. She starts kissing him and he starts kissing her back. He liked her kisses.
Robert felt awkward being in the bedroom with Katie. “I should break up with her if I don’t like her that way.” Robert thinks to himself. “But… should I break up with her on Valentine’s Day?” Robert felt confused, all he could think about was the fact that he was so angry with Lacy and Ronnie. Angry that the two started to date. He couldn’t think straight since the two of them have been dating. He tried dating Katie to stop thinking of Lacy. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t stop thinking of her. He tried to remind himself that love didn’t exist, but still… he couldn’t stop thinking of her.

“Calm down.” Ronnie says staring at her. “Good way to ruin someone’s Valentine’s Day, you bitch.” Lacy looks down.
“I am sorry. I just…I can’t.” Lacy wasn’t sure how to respond. Ronnie uses one of his hands and grabs Lacy’s by the hair. He yanks her over to him and makes her lay on him.

“You really are hot when you talk like that.” Ronnie laughed again and took his cigarette back from her.
“Shut the hell up.” Lacy replies to him. After Ronnie blows some smoke into the air, Lacy took his cigarette from his hands and puts it in her mouth. Ronnie takes it from her and smashes it down on the floor. “What did you do that for?!” Lacy glares at him. He pushes her down on the bed.
“Lacy, today is Valentine’s Day. Let’s make it about love.” Ronnie starts kissing Lacy’s neck.
“Ronnie…” Lacy moaned.
