Lacy had a hard time trying to go to sleep that night. When it was early in the morning, there was a knock on the door. Brice answered it. It was Rick.
“It’s funny seeing you actually going to take your daughter, considering the fact you left her mother, her, and your son years ago.”
“Shut up. I came here just to take my daughter. It’s funny knowing Abbilynn doesn’t want her own daughter anymore.” Rick said.
“Lacy! Your dad is here!” Brice yelled up the stairs. Lacy had some suit cases in her hands.
“This is goodbye.” Lacy looks down. “Even though I wanted…wanted to see my dad… I didn’t expect this. Leaving you two.” Lacy looked as if she was going to cry.
“Are you going to be going to the same school?” Robert asks her.
“I think so.” Lacy answers.
“We can see each other in school.” Ronnie tells her. Lacy kisses Ronnie. He blushes. She then looked at Robert and kisses him.
“Goodbye.” Lacy says and went down the stairs. Lacy saw her dad. He looked almost the same as she remembered. “Daddy?” She thought staring at him.
“So this is what you grew up to look like.” Rick says quietly staring at Lacy.
“Dad?” Lacy asks staring at him. She was a little happy to finally get to see him after all these years, but she wished to not see him just because of this. She rather seen him when everyone was happy. If her parents got back together, but that doesn’t seem like the case. Lacy was upset to leave Robert and Ronnie. She honestly didn’t want to leave the both of them.
“Come on and get in the car.” Rick took Lacy’s suitcases. Lacy walks out of the house and went to the car she saw outside.
“Abbilynn doesn’t want to see me, does she? You dating her?” Rick asks Brice.
“It’s none of your business.” Brice answers Rick.
“Does Abbilynn still do the same thing in bed with her tongue?” Rick laughs. “You know when she goes down on you?”
“Rick, just go.” Brice didn’t like Rick asking disgusting questions to him. Rick smiles devilishly and left. He puts Lacy’s suitcases in his trunk and got in the front seat of his car and drove off. Abbilynn came down the steps.
“Lacy left?” Abbilynn asks Brice.
“Yeah, Rick left too.” Brice responds. Robert and Ronnie came down the steps.
“You can’t stop me for loving Lacy.” Ronnie says looking at his dad and Abbilynn.
“I can’t believe what you and Robert were doing with Lacy.” Brice says staring at his two sons. Bryan came into the hallway.
“What’s going on?” Bryan asks.
“Lacy left.” Robert answered.
“Why?” Bryan asks confused. James came into the hallway. He had came home a little earlier.
“Why did my sister leave?” James asks.
“Look, James, your mom found an apartment. It’s one bedroom. You will have the bedroom while she sleeps on a bed-couch in the living room. I am helping Abbilynn move in there within next week.” Brice tells them all.
“What?” Ronnie couldn’t believe it.
“Yes, he helped me find a place good enough. Abbilynn said.
It was a weird day for everyone. Lacy made it to her dad’s home. It was a small house. “Dad, do…do you hate me?” Lacy asks. Her dad was getting her suitcases out of the trunk.
“Why ask that?” Rick asks.
“You left and never talked to mom, James, and me.” Lacy answers.
“I had my reasons.”
“Why did you leave mom?” Lacy asks. She wanted to know.
“I don’t want to talk about it right now.” Rick closes his trunk and went to unlock the door. He opened it and Lacy followed him inside the house. The first room in the house was the living room. The living room was green. There was a small sofa and chair next to each other. The TV wasn’t large. It was rather small. The living room was tiny. The next room that Lacy followed her dad into was the kitchen. It was a little bigger than the living room. Big enough to have a table in it. There was a staircase.
“Where’s my bedroom?” Lacy asks.
“Follow me.” Rick went upstairs and Lacy followed him. The hallway was rather small as well. He opened a door to a bedroom. There was a bed in there already. In fact the bedroom look like it was already been lived in. It was all pink.
“Who’s bedroom is this?” Lacy asks.
“Yours and Peg’s.”
“Who’s Peg?” Lacy asks confused.
“She’s…she’s my daughter with my girlfriend that I am living with.” Rick responds and sits Lacy’s suit cases down on the floor. “I have to get your bed soon from the other home you came from.”
“Dad, I… I really am happy to see you but… I feel so upset that my mom did this to me.” Lacy looks down.
“At first, Pat, my girlfriend didn’t want you to stay here, I had to practically beg her to let you stay.”
“Why?” Lacy asked. She was starting to cry now. Her dad looked at her.
“Because I care about you. I may have not spoken to your mother or you in years, but I care for you and your brother.”
“Dad, you left when James was just a baby. And I was so young… When you left, I just kept hoping you would come back. I cried. So many times.” Lacy admits.
“I missed you and your little brother, but I had to go.”
“Why did you cheat on mom? Why couldn’t you just stay with her?” Lacy wanted to know the whole story.
“I am sorry, I can’t tell you that right now.” Rick tells her. “Why don’t you get unpacked? I have to get your bed soon.” Rick left the bedroom. Lacy felt upset. Her dad wouldn’t tell her anything. Anything of why he left her mother. It was just a weird day for Lacy. She was already missing Robert and Ronnie. She was used to being around them. She always wanted to see her dad, but never expected this to happen.
A girl came into the bedroom. She had short, braided hair. She glares at Lacy. “Ugh, you’re the girl that I have to share my bedroom with? Why should I share with you?” The girl rudely says. She was Peg. She was Rick’s daughter with his girlfriend Pat. Lacy dries her tears.
“Fuck you.” Lacy glares back at Peg.
“Like totally ew. You look so ugly. No wonder dad left your mom for my mom. I bet you look like your mom.”
“Go to hell.” Lacy responds and was putting her clothes away.
“I’m like living in it now because of you.” Peg’s response was. Lacy already hated Peg. She couldn’t stand her. She was rude and annoying. Lacy didn’t like the fact that she had to be in a bedroom that was pink. She hated the color. Everything was so light and she couldn’t stand the sight of it. Lacy quickly left the bedroom and went downstairs. Rick had went out the front door and left.
“Dad…” Lacy looks down. She felt weird being in this house. Her dad had a new life with his girlfriend and daughter. Lacy felt like she didn’t even belong there. She wanted to go back living with her mother and brother. She wanted to go back living with Robert and Ronnie. “I need to call them.” Lacy went to the phone and dialed the house phone over at the Luxton’s house. She got an answer.
“Hello?” James asks picking up the phone.
“James, is that you?” Lacy asks.
“Yes. I can’t make conversation right now. I need to pack my belongings. Mother and I are moving into an apartment soon next week together. Why are you gone?” James asks her.
“Mom sent me to live with dad. And… I feel weird being here.” Lacy said.
“You got to see dad? I have not seen him since I was an infant. I do not remember his appearance.”
“Can you please put Robert or Ronnie on the phone?” Lacy asks.
“Will do. Please hold.” James sat the phone down and went to look for either of the brothers. He found Robert. “Lacy wants to talk to you on the phone.” James tells him.
“Okay.” Robert went to answer the phone. “Hello?”
“Robert, is that you?” Lacy asks.
“Yes. Is everything alright?” Robert asks her.
“I feel so wrong here. I feel like I don’t belong here. My dad has a daughter with his girlfriend. I hate her. I bet I will hate his girlfriend too.”
“Oh man. I wished you could stay here. Your mother and brother are moving out soon into an apartment.”
“I know. James just told me. I feel like everything is happened too fast!” Lacy said about to cry.
“I know what you mean. I am still confused about it. Dad is really pissed at Ronnie and me for having sex with you. Both of us. He isn’t sure what to do to us for a punishment, but he’s been planning on making us go through a full 2 hour lecture of why we both shouldn’t be having sex with you.”
“That sounds boring. My dad hasn’t spoke to me about that event. I don’t know if he would. I feel so weird that everyone knows about it.” Lacy admits. She did felt weird.
“I just hope you will be alright.” Robert says. Lacy liked hearing that from him.
“Me too.” Lacy says. She wanted to be okay. She didn’t want nothing bad to happen to her anymore.
